Has any one seen a copy of the official lap chart for 1962 Netherlands Grand Prix.
I am interested to see which drivers were in lead and on what laps.
I believe a lap chart was issued in Autocourse Annual.

I can't vouch for its accuracy but the Wikipedia entry has the leaders as:
1-11 Jim Clark
12-54 Graham Hill
55 Phil Hill
56-80 Graham Hill
The quoted references are modern websites but they, hopefully, might have used authoritative sources.

That's useful Doug. No sign of Phil Hill's lap at the front, something confirmed by DSJ's report in Motor Sport. P Hill never challenged G Hill, so I wonder where the Wiki writer got that from. Probably an earlier typo or page fold, making #17 look like #1.
If anyone is interested, perhaps as a Christmas request, TE Warth have a copy of the 1962/63 Autocourse for sale. £566.

If the Autocourse times can be believed and I've read them correctly (they are very small on the lap chart) this is how the gap between the two Hills evolved.
When P. Hill moved into second place on lap 22 he was 24.5 seconds behind the BRM.
By lap 33 the gap was 35.2s but came down to 34.1 on laps 34 and 35.
On laps 36 to 39 the gap stayed in the 35 second range before coming down to 34s and 33s on laps 40 to 49.
On lap 50 the gap was down to 31.2 after G. Hill had a slow lap and P. Hill was 2.9 seconds quicker on that lap.
Over the next five laps the gap was 30.6, 32.0, 31.2, 31.1 and 31.1.
From that evidence there is no way that the Ferrari was in the lead on lap 55.
There must be some doubt about Bruce McLaren's being awarded the fastest lap of that race. It is claimed that he did a 1m 34.4s time on lap five.
His next quickest lap was 1m 37.9s set on lap 8.
To have set a time 3.6 seconds faster than than he managed on any of his other 20 laps, and to have done so at the stage of the race when the cars were carrying a full fuel load, seems highly unlikely. All the other front running cars were lapping in the 1m 37s - 1m 40s range at that time.
The fastest laps set by Graham Hill came towards the end of the race when the fuel load was lighter and he could only manage a 1m 35.7s on lap 71. Phil Hill's best lap was 1m 36.0s on lap 64.
