Twitter and Reddit are fixated on VB77 and GR63's social media accounts, like this one - https://www.reddit.c..._today_another/

I still have a deep dislike for Saward after the Mclaren launch ego trip when he wasn't automatically given an invitation. A shame, he's well informed but just comes across very arrogant.

I'm curious why they both scrubbed Mercedes and Williams stuff off. But then again Facebook has also removed President from Trump's page, Presidential Candidate from Bidens and replaced both with politician.

Doesn't "Joe's Award" have an beef with everyone (almost) ?

Also. Didn't we already have a social media thread on this forum? I could've sworn one was made a couple of years ago!

Vinegar?  Mustard or horseradish is better with beef.

Horseradish is delish. Also those organic seeded mustards - YUM

But back to our original context, I cannot help myself from saying that Joe sometimes does act like a horse, or a radish, or both.

I just thought it would be fun to have a single place in this forum to scour the social media posts of our driver / rider / team heros.

They both have a point, I thought.

Joe Saward is angry because most of the press is being kept out of the paddock and many of those who *are* allowed in don't seem to be following protocols, or at least very loosely.

Will Buxton, as one of those who have been allowed in (and as one who's had the bloody COVID), is saying it's no fun, either.

What do the non-paddock media actually get from being there? All the interviews are over zoom, surely they could save a few quid and just watch the race on their own tele.

The Buxton/Saward thing is just funny as I care for neither. Though If i had to pick one to share an isolated cabin in a snowstorm with, I think it would be Joe. I could handle the cantankerous complaining, I think he would quietly sit in the corner/other room, equally disgusted by my company. I certainly couldn't handle Buxtons brand of OTT and insincere discourse coupled with his ADD emotional incontinence.

From the things I heard

1.) They want to see first-hand how F1 deals with Covid
2.) Even if it's not allowed some of them still "happen" to meet engineers in restaurants, and thus are more likely to find scoops than somebody that sits home
3.) Some of them are on a streak of consecutive F1 races attended and dont want to lose it

The Zoom interviews are shared across the board.  All of the articles based on them will be identical.  A self employed journalist needs to write other stories, for that, they need access to their sources, face to face.  They're not getting that stuff now. The TV media are getting the jump over the likes of Joe Saward who can't get into the paddock.  Buxton is claiming he and the other TV people have  had to stay in a bubble all season, whereas Saward comes and goes as he pleases.  I reckon that's crap, because the Sky team keeps on changing and they go home between races.

Having met Will a number of times through the years in and out of the F1 paddock, I am pleased to see that twitter spat between him and Joe and also Chris Medland. Buxton is finally being called out for being the c*nt he is.

He is the most trumped up over-hyped idiot to ever give their views on Grand Prix racing. He fits perfectly with American owners of the sport. When is an independent journalist again, he will wish he hadn't behaved like this! Prat.

Ah damn I missed it. Does anybody have any screens? I must admit I do love Joe's tweets that I can see. Buxton just seems so smug all of the time...

Some mean Liuzzi fan.

I had completely forgotten about that. He really went on about everything negative he could find (and make up) about Force India for some years.

It was around those years the "Joe's Award" stuck as well!
