Some minor rumblings for next year to finish off the season after the BTCC prize giving this weekend:

 

• Tom Oliphant has left WSR as he is moving to Australia, which leaves a top-drawer seat open in the BMW. There are rumours that Jake Hill may be taking that seat.

• While on the subject of BMW, it looks as though Chilton is leaving Ciceley and is looking for a return to a FWD team. Apparently, this could be Dynamics or Motorbase.

• The Infinitis may be not long for this world. There is a possibility that Moffat's side of the team will be integrated fully into HARD with him switching to a Cupra. Boardley is leaving the BTCC, and it looks as though BMR will go it alone again with Ash Sutton... and if the rumours are to be believed, in a Jaguar. Dan Cammish could be his team-mate.

Sutton, Camish and Jag rumours have been around for a while so I think there is some mileage in that story if it’s still going.

Jaguar back in BTCC would be great I think. XE model I would guess.

Hmm, some very tasty rumours there!   I won't miss Oliphant very much.  I would be surprised if someone didn't pick up the super-quick Infinitis to run privately.  The Jaguar story?  I am all for more RWD cars but the modern day BTCC doesn't look like Jaguar's natural habitat to me.  It depends how much factory support was forthcoming, I guess.

Wasn’t the reason they got the Infinitis back out was the fact they were easier to put the hybrid system into over the A Class?

Get it started! Planning on doing more races next year. Brands was a great event and I enjoyed the camping scene too. We are so lucky to have this series.
