One of my American colleagues has sent me the news that John Paul, Jr has passed

away at the age of 60 in Woodland Hills, California.

John had been suffering from Huntington’s disease for some time.

RIP

That’s just sad. Not “innocent,” but just following his dad’s lead.

Meanwhile, the old man is enjoying pasta somewhere in Europe, disguised and on the run. Vile.

RIP, John Paul, Jr., this just isn’t right. :-(

Passed at 60. Such a talent. After his release we spoke at length. “ I blame no one but myself “ ! Great driver but much better person...RIP John.

Thanks for this. He was a great guy, a remarkable talent, and we can’t choose our parents.

Perhaps somewhere his dad finally gets it. The wrong person suffered.

He was a natural. He suffered so much in recent years, I hope he’s found the peace he deserves.

I have two wonderful photos of John at Sebring in 86. On pole as he strapped himself into the March/Buick 85G. I knew as I took the shots they would be special one day.

And if Sr. is still alive,  he won't be able to go to his son's funeral...
