I have a gut feeling the new rules will hurt them more than we expect.

Yes, already they seemed to be struggling with the new Pirellis. And with so little testing before the season, that could be a bit of a spanner in the works for them.

Toto has been quarantined for 10 days after a positive Covid test.
He can work from home. Besides these PCR tests are real ****. They're incorrect in many cases

I'm pretty sure Ham will be the first driver to win a title without an active contract at this rate

"I think Red Bull with Perez will be a much stronger candidate for the constructors' championship. Sergio (Perez) is very strong here. It will also be interesting to see how Sergio holds up against Verstappen. So, the opponent is stronger, and the season is with the same equipment (car) as last year. "
"Honda will work really hard in the last year and that's why it will be interesting," said the Mercedes boss, touching on comments from Christian Horner, who said that Max Verstappen was better than Hamilton.โChristian canโt stop with teasing in the background, but itโs part of the game. You can only rate the best grid drivers if you allow them to race. We didn't see Lewis against Max, we didn't see George against Lewis, we didn't see Charles Leclerc in the top car, "said Toto Wolff.

Sir Jackie Stewart won three WDCs without ever having a written contract with Ken Tyrell.

I like how Allison managed to convince me that having less windtunnel time, makes them even more dangerous. This team is truly terrifying

I saw that since 2001 only twice F1 champion has not been nominated for the award. Button and Rosberg who both won the breakthrough award.

A surprise to the daily mail perhaps but not to Lewis.

Sir Jackie Stewart is already a knight of the realm. They don't have to call each other 'Sir'. It's like reigning monarchs don't have to call each other 'Your Majesty'.

If the Daily Mail will use the Sir title in every headline with him I'm not sure if I will last the season
Yeah anyone using it in general discussion of him (rather than formal announcements in contexts where it is appropriate), be it in articles or in posts here, is a crawling crawler and will be being ignored.
There has been one poster here who has started using it every time, and they look so very very sad doing it.

Eh what's this about?
Chris MedlandFrom a Merc press email: "(Mercedes) has mixed feelings about this particular race venue: while Lewis Hamilton managed to win the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix, Valtteri Bottas and George Russell were out of sorts in the second race on the shorter variant of the track." Bit harsh!

Eh what's this about?
it's a bit poorly worded tbh and makes it look like the drivers were at fault when basically merc themselves screwed up
#43
Posted 25 March 2021 - 03:12
Eh what's this about?
No one cares about what Medland says in reference to this. Bahrain 2 was also an anomalistic track, unlike almost anything else.
Q3 and Merc will be in the fight if not dominating it.

That's the test mule. You'll see the real Toto come Q3 in Bahrain.
