Yes you have to wonder what would have happened if Frank and the gang held on and not sold the team..
All this judgement does is the give the new backers free money it will never likely see the team and I reckon it will be eaten up in high management bonus

Whether it was still in Williams's hands or in Dorilton's, the payment would still go to the company, Williams Grand Prix Engineering Ltd. I don't know how their finances are at the moment, especially with the budget cap, but if this $35m is surplus to the cap, it is up to the owners how they use it. You seem to be implying that Dorilton would do something that the Williams family wouldn't. There is no evidence of that The Williams family took profits from the company in the good times, just as Dorilton might do now.
