Whether it was still in Williams's hands or in Dorilton's, the payment would still go to the company, Williams Grand Prix Engineering Ltd. I don't know how their finances are at the moment, especially with the budget cap, but if this $35m is surplus to the cap, it is up to the owners how they use it. You seem to be implying that Dorilton would do something that the Williams family wouldn't. There is no evidence of that The Williams family took profits from the company in the good times, just as Dorilton might do now.
