Indeed, it's long overdue, but I fear that certain persons *coughMazepincough* might make such a driver's life difficult.
But what if it's Mazepin who comes out?

Sensible but not "out there".
OK let's get my imagination going some more...
1. Mazepin doesn't get a race ban all season
2. Both williams drivers score at least 3 points
3. At least one of these drivers retires mid-season....Hamilton, Vettel, Alonso
4. Lance Stroll wins a grand prix
5. RBR actually give Checo everything he needs to fairly fight Max.
6. Helmut Marko does not say anything which indicates he may be insane or senile.

Please no. But come to think of it: has anyone ever come up with a contingency plan if this dreadful situation would arrive?
Posted 26 January 2021 - 10:50
9. Albon is totally forgotten
He is already, how is that bold.
Posted 26 January 2021 - 11:13
1. Perez won't shine in the Red Bull
2. Vettel will be a flop at Aston Martin
3. McLaren will win a race
Posted 26 January 2021 - 11:31
But what if it's Mazepin who comes out?
Then we all need to reflect on what made a gay man make bad gay jokes.

Like those anti-gay preachers who turned out to be gay themselves.
It was them I had in mind.

Mazepin to score a point before Russell
Posted 12 December 2021 - 20:21
So to lighten things up a little, does anyone want to brag about getting some outlandish claims right or laugh at being completely wrong?
Posted 12 December 2021 - 20:25
1] Hamilton to retire after 2021 season.
2] Mclaren scoring a win in 2021.
3] Sainz outscoring Leclerc.
Posted 12 December 2021 - 20:26
2 out of 3 so far...
Posted 12 December 2021 - 20:28
- Red Bull actually fast at start of the season
- Verstappen narrowly wins championship
- Bottas gets canned
- Russell replaces Bottas and would have challenged for the title if put in sooner, ends up 3rd
- Alonso walks out after claiming Renault/Alpine isnt serious enough about F1
- Aston Martin seriously misses Perez and fall well down the order
Not bad.
Posted 12 December 2021 - 20:28
2021 dude!
Posted 12 December 2021 - 20:31
1. McLaren to take a win.
2. Ferrari to end up lower than 3rd in the Championship.
Posted 12 December 2021 - 20:36
Quite a lot of correct predictions for what were supposed to be BOLD predictions.
Bold predictions about 2022, though- that will be much more fun, I feel.
Posted 12 December 2021 - 21:02
- Seb barely beats stroll despite a strong start to the season
- Ocon matches a suddenly ageing Alonso
- Leclerc annihilates Sainz
I give myself 1 1/2 out of 3.
Posted 13 December 2021 - 11:28
not bad, these predictions
Posted 13 December 2021 - 11:32
The drivers' championship will go down to the wire.
How's that for bold? Or is it just hopeless optimism?

1. RBR will close the gap to Mercedes appreciably but not catch them
2. People will still complain that Mercedes are "boring"
3. Perez to take at least five podiums, but not match Max
4. Seb Vs Lance to swing one way then the other several times during the season
5. Ricciardo will be top dog at McLaren
6. McLaren in with a serious shout of one win
7. Ferrari will not be anywhere near a win
8. Williams will score a point or two
9. There will be dissent over Saudi Arabia but the race will go ahead
10. Mick will start the season unimpressively but will turn the tide 2/3 through
OK let's get my imagination going some more...
So I made two sets....my first set actually was pretty good, though #5 definitely did not come to pass.
My second set....Lance didn't win and nobody retired mid-season. And Dr. Marko certainly didn't play my game. I am really surprised Mazepin didn't get a race ban, perhaps he was lucky to be in the slowest car and unable to battle anyone (his team mate was usually up the road) but his behaviour was less wild than I'd expected.

Plenty of people thinking Ocon will outperform Alonso and a few seeing it the other way. Can we now say that they outperformed each other?

CC
1. Mercedes
2. RB
3. Ferrari
4. Aston Martin
5. Alpine
6. McLaren
7. AT
8. Williams
9. Sauber
10. Haas
DC
1. Max
2. Hamilton
That's pretty impressive.

6/13McLaren wins a race
Monza, and nearly Russia!
Mercedes wins more races than they did in 2020
Not quite; they needed 14 and got 9.
Not one driver tests positive for COVID-19
Raikkonen and Mazepin both did towards the end of the year.
Stroll faffs up a shot at a win
I don’t think he even got a shot to faff up a podium this year.
Bottas wins fewer races than Perez finishes ahead of Verstappen
Bottas won once, while Perez was classified ahead of Verstappen three times.
At least one race is red-flagged
Off the top of my head, Imola, Silverstone, Hungary, and Saudi Arabia were all red-flagged
Russell scores points for Williams
He made it all the way to the podium, once!
Mazepin crashes into someone–during practice (for the sake of clarity, this includes mechanics)
We were close in Saudi Arabia!
Someone loses a win due to a poor pit stop
Hamilton and Verstappen in Monza, maybe?
The drivers’ title battle does not go down to the last race
It went down to the last lap!
Schumacher and Alonso encounter one another on track at some point, prompting a radio comment by either which is broadcast over FOM
What was I smoking here?
The number of drivers that make Q3 and score points will be the same
While Raikkonen and Latifi both managed to score points, neither one made it into Q3.
Fewer than 2250 points will be scored amongst all drivers
The final total was 2207.5. Equalling 2250 would’ve involved running at least 22 races and 1 sprint to completion, providing the fastest lap point was awarded in every race; the cancellation of the Japanese Grand Prix and the half-score in the Belgian Grand Prix confirmed this one.
Posted 19 December 2021 - 00:04
6/13 is not bad but I feel there's nothing bold by claiming there would have been at least one red-flagged race, for example.
Posted 19 December 2021 - 02:21
Mazepin crashes into someone–during practice (for the sake of clarity, this includes mechanics)
We were close in Saudi Arabia!
That one was zero percent Mazpins fault
Posted 19 December 2021 - 02:23
Perez will be very competitive meaning Mercedes is threatened in the WCC leading them to swap Bottas with Russel and/or Ocon.
The WCC was threatened for a couple races there. This prediction counts as a W in my books though it ended up being anti climactic

For some reason I felt like there was only one every few years, until recently. I think four in a year is the most I’ve seen since I’ve been watching, for sure.6/13 is not bad but I feel there's nothing bold by claiming there would have been at least one red-flagged race, for example.
