Saw this advert a couple of times when watching the NFL on Sunday, and it really caught my attention (39 seconds in).

NASCAR isn't something that I've watched before, but I have to say the idea of an oval dirt race sounds really interesting!

Bit of a progress report on the Bristol dirt oval project here:

This sounds like the most unique event since Singapore announced the F1 night race.

I'll be looking out for clips of race cars racing this on March 28 for sure!

NASCAR's trucks -- not really trucks, more like stock car racing's third division -- have been racing on dirt at Eldora for the last few years. It looks like a lot of fun:

Dirt is in many ways a better racing surface than pavement.

I haven't watched NASCAR in years, this year I might return to it.

Bristol is one of my favourite NASCAR tracks and the dirt race does sound super interesting - almost like if F1 raced at an oval!

The only problem is that my favourite drivers retired a while back (Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr.). I know there was a change to the regulations a couple of years back - I personally don't like the look of the new cars - but that's about it. It'd be nice and quite nostalgic to get back into it.

Never realised trucks already had a Dirt Derby.

I think it’s a brilliant idea. Stands out so much on their new main calendar!
