Topic created out of pre-season boredom

I start with an obvious current one:

Charles Leclerc + Carlos Sainz - Ferrari 2021

I know another one not very long ago, by memory. Maybe there are many others. Post next one if you know

Toro Rosso, 2008:
Sebastian Vettel
Sebastien Bourdais

Also perhaps not teammates by the most literal sense, but back in 2014 when Felipe Massa was racing for Williams, their free practice driver was Felipe Nasr.

STR got it better when Vettel moved to RBR and was replaced by Sebastien Buemi.

Another to be mentioned, after Martin Brundle was injured in 1984 he was replaced by Stefan Johansson while Stefan Bellof was driving the other Tyrrell.

There was a driver called Markin Brundell and he had a team-mate of a nearly identical name that I can't remember. They were even team-mates at 2 different teams during their careers.

Not sure if these count but Jackie Stewart and Jacky Ickx were both signed to Tyrell at the same time, albeit in different formulas and Mike Hakkinen and Michael Andretti were both signed by McLaren for 1993.

Blundle and Brundell.

The names are so similar that they seem to have confused you, it's Brundle and Blundell.  :)

Both drove Cooper-Maseratis in Formula One but were they ever teammates?

They both drove Cooper Maseratis, but it was for Rob Walker in Brabham they were teammates! Though, they used different engines. Same team.

What I like about those two is that they actually had totally different names (Joakim and Joseph) but shared a contraction!

Eddie Irvine and Eddie Jordan

On the subject of drivers and their teams, interestingly, Pierluigi Minardi is the only driver to be named after a team rather than vice versa.

Both of these first names mean Charles but in French and Spanish, respectively.

Blundle and Brundell.

That’s not correct though. Brundle’s first name is Martin, Blundell’s first name is Mark.

But didn't he drive for the Martini team?

Except it was two separate entries. Siffert for Rob Walker, Bonnier for his own team. But this time they actually drove the same chassis-engine combo, something they never did in 1965 when they did a full championship for Rob Walker (the only time that team had two cars in every race?)

Nico berg and Nico berg were team-mates if you count being a test driver as a team-mate. I think I've forgotten to spell Ros and Hulken.

Not same name, but still confusing:

Biagi-Bobbi-Bruni used to confuse the hell out of me (Ferrari in GT FIA, early 2000s)

Same series: Belloc-Bouchout

Same name:

Of course, Jorg and Dirk Muller (Bmw, Etcc/Wtcc)

Not F1, but still a top racing series nevertheless: Andrea Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone were team mates at Ducati for quite a few years.

Oh, that made me remember:

Dirk Muller, Dirk Werner, Dirk Adorf and Dirk Andy Prilaux in the Nürburgring 24hrs race in 2010 (and IIRC more years as well).

That was lovely. and Jorg Muller probably raced in a BMW that year too.  Dirk Muller had a trully indistinguishable calling at BMW.
