I have recently been sent some information regarding this car which was produced in Durban South Africa by John Marnoch using a Fairthorpe rolling chassis and a locally produced body in 1959, the idea was to sell them as rollers that just required the engine/gearbox, propshaft and instruments to be fitted, any of the usual 1000cc engines could be used. The F.M had some success on the circuit and a second model was produced in 1965, the Astor which had a tuned 1500cc Ford Classic engine, this was entered in the 1965 Kyalami 9 hours though was a non starter. An internet search brings up no results apart from the 65 Kyalami on the Racing Sportscars site.
Any further info appreciated, i do have a couple of pictures but the image transfer system on here annoys me............
