If Todt is brought in to advise Binotto, it says everything about Binotto's capabilities. That he needs to have someone sensible to hold his hand and tell him what to do. What kind of TP is that? Get rid and get someone competent in his place and forget about Todt.

Same sort of setup as Wolff and Lauda, no? That worked pretty well.

Yes, but that was Lauda giving added value to an already very competent TP. Not holding his hand and guiding him.

Actually it doesn’t say anything, apart from the fact that Ferrari will be stronger politically relative to Binotto alone. But it’s not surprising, is it?If Todt is brought in to advise Binotto, it says everything about Binotto's capabilities. That he needs to have someone sensible to hold his hand and tell him what to do. What kind of TP is that? Get rid and get someone competent in his place and forget about Todt.
Ferrari with Binotto + Todt is definitely > Ferrari with only Binotto.

Seems like a closer parallel could be when Wolff and Lauda joined Mercedes to work with Ross Brawn.

Pull rod front suspension
Aggressive nose, much different from FIA mock up
Engine will be developed until very end, no real fire up any time soon
Going step by step with development, have tried all posaible directions in wins tunnel

According to F1Uno - pull rod front suspension
Seems Mclaren have gone down this route too. At least if its wrong, we're both screwed...
