Yep, here’s an example. You can actually see Jensons overalls have been tied at the waist... but it appears like he’s got a crisp new suit on with sponsor logos perfectly aligned for the viewers to see - to the point they are actually on blocks to stop them folding

Yeah I believe they had special jackets to put on after the race that showed off the sponsors better but still looked like their race suits!

I remember Sparco used to sell jackets in the mid to late '90s that looked like the top half of their overalls. They had them for Jordan, Williams and Benetton. Ironically, the McLaren ones were never sold to the public.

I guess Denny Hulme was also trying to figure out why Jackie Stewart's fly is undone.

Maybe that’s why the fella on the right is holding in his vomit

If you get bored and want to spend a couple hours in a rabbit hole, Google the owner of Steak 'n Shake, Sardar "Big Larry" Biglari.  He's a self-dealing clown who ran Steak 'n Shake into the ground.

Treats certain women like Mazepin (Biglari also owns Maxim magazine), makes David Thieme seem like a model of transparency by comparison.

I had been going to SNS for over forty years until they reduced the portion size and started skimping on the look-and-feel.  When they stopped toasting their hamburger buns, that was the last straw.

My eyes...

The most recent ones I can recall disliking were the Brawn GP suits.

Three different suit designs in one car. A feat only ByKolles could achieve:

Looks like reverse, Before and After.

That looks like the same moment, but from a different angle. The Rand Daily Mail was a South African newspaper.

So Kyalami, 1973 (because George Follmer with the UOP Shadow hat, de Adamich in the red shirt and glasses and Jody Scheckter).

But for some inexplicable reason, they decided to invert the colours in Malaysia:

Thankfully they reverted to the black suits for the next race and never wore the gold ones ever again.

Gold-ish yellow can actually look good on some drivers:

Keke was the badass F1 driver of my youth, and my all-time favorite driver.

The good ol' times... that weren't always so good: two of the drivers on this picture would be killed in less than one year.

A lot more charismatic than his son.

I never understood the difference between the Williams livery and the red in their team wear. They looked like boy scouts in those. McLaren had those afwul white/grey/black gradient ones that looked like someone hang them to dry next to the spray cabin of the cars.

Ferrari had colorvomited ones in the past decade or so. Can't remember it, but saw a picture with Massa(?) wearing it.

Man, must say I never noticed these. But both of those mclaren drivers and their uniforms look like they are some plasticmannequins instead of living persons.

Not that I would ever recommend anyone takes up smoking, but around the time Keke was WDC there was a campaign in English schools against tobacco with the slogan "Pace setters don't smoke". It centred around the effects smoking have on fitness. I'd always bring up Keke when this was mentioned...."Tell that to Keke Rosberg". No fan of tobacco but the way he would put out his cigarette and then do magic on the racetrack was something else. Very much a past era. Throwing down one's cup of plant based health drink and getting pole just isn't the same...

He doesn't look like he'd fit a modern suit anyway.

He and a mate would both fit in one of Villeneuve's

Yeah but I was talking *modern* race suits. Jacques has been out of F1 for a tiny little 15 years..

Sorry to everyone that I'm making feel old right now.
