The 'VW to F1' rumour train won't go away so let's use our crystal bollox to speculate on which other manufacturers may come into F1 in the future.

I'm going to suggest Hyundai. Despite the fact they now make pretty good cars they still have a bit of an image problem and they are now producing very good hot hatches. I could see F1 being a good move for them eventually.

Anyone else want to make a prediction?

What I wish for:

Pagani & Koenigsegg

What I actually think:

Maserati? But obviously only as a livery.

I'd say VW (with Audi) is the most likely proper manufacturer to come into F1 in the near future, but I doubt it will happen anyway.

Honda being back before too long.

They have been doing cycles for some time. Resting for some 7-8 years from 92 to come back in 00. Then resting from 08 to come back in 2015.

I see them back around 2030.

Porsche or Audi are the only ones I expect in 2025.

really hope manufacturers' part will be limited to providers of (cheap!) engines.
