I am doing a feature about Bill Ivy's car career. What will be the best source for pictures of his race meetings? I can provide dates. Roger Hill has provided cracking photos. I need six or seven. Thanks to all members for their insights.

I recall buying a print of an F2 shot from the Mike Haywood Collection; I think there were a few others available.

Yes there are a couple of pictures of Bill racing at the 1969 Thruxton F2 International in the Hayward collection.

 

In reality he only competed in a handful of Formula Two races in 1969 before his death in July. He was definitely quick.

Correct. A heat with Graham Hill, Jackie Stewart, Beltoise, Regazzoni.

Thank you all. Mike Hayward has provided pictures kindly of Thruxton. Hope to find others of Bill's international races.

Wasn't he prevented from starting one of the German races by the organisers?

 

Anyway, back to the original request.  Maybe try LAT - or whatever it is called these days.  They had pictures.  Only possible problem is that I don't think that they ever made them all available for public viewing, so not sure if you could make a specific request.
