Having had little luck hunting around my usual sources, can anyone point me towards photographs of the works Ferrari 312PBs which finished 1-2 in the 1972 Imola 500Kms - little Art Merzario winning in No 2, from Jacky Ickx second in No 1.

Beggars cannot be choosers - and thanks very much for the rapid response thus far - but what I really seek are some shots showing the cars there side on...

This is not an answer to your actual question (!) - but I do have some photos from the 1971 BOAC 1000kms. Shows Ickx, Regazzoni, Andretti (and Peter Gaydon!) lounging around on their cars in the Collection Area at Brands looking as though they had all the time in the world. If you'd like to see them anyway, please send me your email address (I can't figure out how to download photos on this site and I don't do social media!) sw14weaver@icloud.com Sue W.

Cher Doug
I've not found much more than anyone else ...
https://www.google.c...iw=1440&bih=720
I took a quick look at my books, and found very little on the 1972 season ... most of the images featured the 1971 312B with Ickx driving ...
Strange situation, seeing that Ferrari took all the marbles in 1972 with the 312PB ...
Sorry to not be so helpful ...
Cheers!

Oooh very nearly what I need... Screen and grain just too coarse, sadly. But thank you VERY much.

Those cars are simply beautiful beyond belief.

It's the type of meeting Roy Pagliacci and his wife Rosanna might have filmed. I'll have a dig around.
It looks, from film and stills, as if Roy and Rosanna were there in 1971 and 1973, but not in 1972! I think he was at Oulton Park at the time, filming Roger Williamson and the F3s. Ah well.

OK - thank you most sincerely for everyone who contributed here. Photos just in from Italy have disproved the claim I was asked to assess.
