Just picked up a 2nd Ebbro Brabham BT18 with the Ebbro Cosworth SCA conversion kit.  It comes with Winkelmann Racing decals for Rindt.  However, I think they may have gotten the striping wrong.  The main stripe on the decals is pale blue with silver pinstripes.  I thought that the striping was all silver.  They use the same British Racing Green as the factory cars for the overall colour. Cannot find a colour photo of a Winkelmann BT18 on-line.  Otherwise, this is a very nice transkit for the Brabham.  A photo I came across in the Alarmy site shows the silver ribbon going wide beneath the radiator intake.

Yes, I see it as silver.  Shame, good quality decal messed up by bad research.

Having been around to watch these cars at that time, my recollection is that they were a different green to the factory cars. Still a darkish B.R.G. but if I try to describe it, I would say it had the very slightest hint of blue in the green. Just a tiny amount but definitely different to Jack and Denny's cars.

Further to the above, I have a book called Racing team colours and markings. The book is obviously well researched and it gives the following information:

Brabham works cars - ICI paint reference, P031-2248 with gold ICI P031-4389

Roy Winkleman Racing - ICI B.M.C. dark green P030-5107 with the silver described as a Rolls Royce colour.

This book was produced in 1967 and all the team colours seem to have been supplied by the relevant people because their names or team names are listed in the acknowledgements.

Ive found a couple of photos on the net and the stripe and tip of the nose cone definitely look to be silver
