The Kaimann tribute page on Facebook has posted the sad news that Kurt Bergmann, team-boss of the Kaimann Vee/Supervee concern died last night in his sleep.  He played a crucial part in Niki Lauda's career and wrote an after-word in Jon Saltinstall's cracking book. Sincere condolences to family and friends.

A sad loss - one of the giants of Austrian motorsport, though a live well-lived and packed to the full. He was (via Karl Holzinger) hugely helpful to me with the Lauda book and I was grateful and humbled to receive his introspective and thoughtful reflections in the Afterword. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace, Master Bergmann.

Really nice. Kaimann sounds a nice name for a car concern and we're blessed with the help of such people while they're alive.
