Castle Combe is used for running events (usually 10 km) several times each year.

Should that be running running?

Castle Combe also holds car boot sales several times a year, indeed there is one this Sunday. Donington Park used to have a Sunday market on the old Melbourne Loop although I think that finished in 2016.

I remember driving to Donington for the second day of the 2007 VSCC See Red meeting and becoming stuck in a traffic jam some way from the circuit. As we approached the circuit entrance I was bemused to see that nine out of ten cars went straight past the entrance. Obviously the Sunday market was a far greater draw than a wonderful collection of old racing cars !

You can get married at Prescott hillclimb. They market the clubhouse as a venue for a marriage ceremony.

Yes, I have been to a couple of wedding receptions there (mercifully just as a spectator). Nice venue.

Not the Goodwood circuit, per se, but Goodwood House can be rented for wedding receptions, cermonies, large events, etc.:

Like many owners of large, historic family estates, Lord March presumably does this to help cover high operating costs.

Such activities long preceded motor sport within the park grounds of Goodwood House - including cricket and equine dressage so here's a case of unusual use of a stately home - as opposed to unusual use of a motor sporting venue.  It just depends which end of the telescope one chooses to look into...

The best circuits were used as roads.

Very much agree, Roger...

Warwick Farm short circuit and a part of Amaroo Park were used for 'Mileage Marathons'. I believe Silverstone also saw this activity?

Yes, Indianapolis 500 track was recently used for Covid testing and vacinations

And IMS holds the record for the most 1 day vaccinations.
Over 350,000.

Only the odd local yellow for slightly spilled syringes.
