To the person who stole my glasses....
I can still drink from the bottle!!!!
Crazy end to the Rooski Race. They are crazy drivers so why not a crazy race to make it interesting. So close to a back to back win after a 9 year drought. Macca is still the only team to have a 1-2 finish, so that is neat for them. Stroll and Vettel can't seem to stop racing like it's NASCAR.....Rubbin's Racin'!!!! So McL did opposite of what the field did at the two critical decision making points of the race and came out 50-50 on the calls. Pit sequence call worked out against the undercut, but their rain pit call did not. The rain saved Max's and Bottas' race for sure.
On to the results for the Russian Grand Prix...
Fun fact: The highest race score to win a GOLD medal was 770 total points by Humpty last week and the lowest race score to win a GOLD medal was 470 total points by GUENTHER'S #1 FAN.
That has now been SHATTERED by Team hunzerug with a total score of 901 points!!!!! SGM scored in the eight hundreds to come in second place and then a long way back is Humpty claiming the final podium spot.
Team hunzerug has Lando as #1 driver with Max as #2 driver with Alpha Tauri engine and RBR boss. What a combo. Team SGM made a swap between D2 & D3 and boy did it pay off this race. Kimi's #2 driver and RBR boss are the extra points that boosted the team closer to Insomnia.
A couple more fun facts: The Italian GP and Russian GP are the same amount of laps. LeClerc and DRic both scored 126 points in these races. LeClerc scored his points in the Italian GP while DRic scored his points in the Russian GP. They both started fifth and finished fourth in the two races.
Lando and DRic, MCL teammates, both scored 126 points in the same race!! They had two totally different races in that DRic improved his position from start to finish and Lando ultimately went backwards. The top four race positions had Lando (3 teams) or DRic (1 team) as its #1 Driver.

Overall Standings:
Relying on his #1 driver and #1 engine, Insomnia is managing his top position, but Scuderia Grove Marlboro gained quite a bit of ground on him. hunzerug moved the most, up five stops to seventh!!! Other big movers were Humpty moving up three spots to 13th position while KevR Racing and Befuddled KD0711 dropped down three spots to 11th and 16th, respectively.

Recent Form:
SGM, Spy Holdings F1 and Humpty top the recent form table. We can see here the trend is SGM catching Insomnia, 1st and 7th respectively for their recent form. Consistency keeps them at the top end of the overall leader board.

Medal Competition:
Congratulations to scheivlak capturing his second GOLD medal!!!!! He moved up from a tie at fourth place to the lone place holder in third place, one point from second place. GTA, always the bridesmaid, grabbed his third SILVER medal to move down from a tie at fourth place to be in fifth place!!! How weird is that?? You win another medal, but you drop in position. Humpty took home the BRONZE medal as its second medal in a row, but stayed in the same position at eleventh.
So in summary: Gold medal winner went up a position, Silver medal winner went down a position and Bronze medal winner stayed in the same position.
