Best driver: Bottas. Did not put a foot wrong.
Worst driver: Tsunoda? Mazepin? Latifi?
Best team: probably Red Bull
Worst team: probably Mercedes
Best overtake: Perez on Hamilton
Worst overtake: Alonso on Schumacher
Best moment: Mercedes calling Hamilton in for a pitstop
Worst moment: Ferrari's Captain Obvious engineer helpfully informing Leclerc he will be in P1 if he stays ahead of P2 man Bottas..

And the race in a sentence: Pirelli wets at a resurfaced 2021 Istanbul Park. That is all.

I expected a lot more. But it just played out as a slow motion gentle tease.

Borefest for a wet race with everyone counting points and playing safe

Best driver: Perez
Worst driver: Mazepin
Best team: no-one stands out
Worst team: ditto
Best overtake: Nit really an overtake but loved the Perez Hamilton battle
Worst overtake:
Best moment: Perez Hamilton battle
Worst moment: Alonso hitting Schumacher

And the race in a sentence: Very enjoyable and fair play to the teams for learning from Stroll’s lead boots experience last year but it really shouldn’t happen (to me anyway) that teams know to avoid pitting for new tyres because they know they are going to be substantially slower.

Maybe just spoiled after some recent belters of races.

6.

For a wet race it was boring. Mostly because of the tyres, and long phases of delta laps.

Perez V Hamilton was the only really big moment of interest, and it lasted a few corners and and pit straight.

I thought that was the best moment!

Unusually static for a wet race.

100% finishing rate in a fully wet race- I think it must have been the first time in F1 history and I guess it wasn't even close before? Highly unusual.

As for a dry race this would have been pretty OK but it must have been the least chaotic wet race I've ever seen.

Again the track would not dry, in yesterday it was dry enough for slicks in 10 minutes.

For a wet race it was positively boring. Very few spins or mistakes, no crashes, no retirements, no real randomness. Hamilton’s charge was impressive then just kinda stopped and they made a baffling call on tyres that lost him at least one position. Sainz kept things interesting but when it was only ever for a lower points finish that maybe says that it….wasn’t the greatest.

Gains points though for some really nice racing, particularly with Lewis and Perez, and actually the fact that it wasn’t messy or random or unpredictable made it maybe more enjoyable in a way. And nice to see Bottas get a win.

Best driver - Bottas
Worst driver - Mazepin
Best team - ooh tough. Maybe AlphaTauri although Tsunoda went backwards.

Worst team - quite a tough one, maybe Williams because they just weren't where we've started to expect them to be. Want to give Haas a break for making Q2.
Best overtake - Hamilton and Perez was lovely racing from two real professionals
Worst overtake - none stands out.
Best moment - Hamilton/Perez battle
Worst moment - Vettel’s ridiculous gamble on slicks.

Worst overtake: Alonso on Mick
Best moment: Perez vs Hamilton

Worst team: Ferrari for those pitstops....pull it together guys.
Best overtake: Ham on Tsunoda
Worst overtake: Sainz clattered into Vettel which he really could have done without.
Best moment: Perez vs Hamilton
Worst moment: The monotony of the first half as everyone except Hamilton babied the inters.

And the race in a sentence: The one where Bottas/Perez peaked on a wet track.

Gave it a seven.

Manifestly, Bottas did well and Max kept it on the island.

Good dice between Hamilton & Perez, good efforts from Sainz and LeClerc.

It was sad to see Seb hapless on slicks and drop so far down.

Kinda funny to hear Lewis rage at his team after giving them what sounded like a fully on board “Sure,” when called in. :drunk:

Scored it an eight.

Very entertaining, enjoyed the overtaking and drama and the WDC is still very close. :)

Perhaps a special mention to Tsunoda for keeping LH at bay for eight laps at the beginning of the race?

Best team: Red Bull
Worst team: Aston Martin
Best overtake: Lewis on Tsunoda

Best driver: Sainz, Bottas
Worst driver: Mazepin again.
Best team: Bottas side of the Merc garage
Worst team: Hamilton's side of the Merc garage
Best overtake: Sainz on Stroll (I think)
Worst overtake: Alonzo's optimistic C1 move

Best Moment: The infamous message to Charles
Worst moment: Hamilton called to pit

And the race in a sentence: Proof that a wet race is not the solution to F1's issues, as many seem to think.

I gave a it a 3.

Besides that Ham-Perz thing, practically it was a procession.

Alonso being the worst driver for me this weekend, Sainz being the best.

Bit disappointing for a wet race. Shame we didn't get a crossover period to dry tyres, would have made it a lot more exciting.

I think this race was just.. fine? Seems many people are complaining because they expected wet weather chaos, but the conditions were actually stable and predictable.

Best driver: Bottas
Worst driver: Mazepin
Best team: Red Bull
Worst team: Ferrari
Best overtake: Hamilton on Tsunoda
Worst overtake: Sainz on Vettel (I think)
Best moment: Hamilton-Perez battle
Worst moment: Alonso spin

And the race in a sentence: just a normal motor race in slightly unusual conditions.

Best driver: Bottas. I expected Max to have enough in the mixed conditions to beat him, but Bottas simply drove better.
Worst driver: Alonso
Best team: Red Bull
Worst team: Merc strategy department
Best overtake: Hamilton on Tsunoda
Worst overtake: Sainz on Vettel
Best moment: Vettel's slick tyre adventure
Worst moment: TV director replaying the start 47 times during the opening dew laps

And the race in a sentence: Dominant from Bottas in difficult conditions.

Best driver: Bottas. Want to say Leclerc but he outbraked himself once?

Worst driver: Mazepin by default.
Best team: Red Bullauri
Worst team: Aston Martin for putting (or agreeing to put) Vettel on slicks
Best overtake: Hamilton on Tsunoda
Worst overtake: Sainz on Vettel
Best moment: Perez/Hamilton fight
Worst moment: Alonso taken out L1/T1

And the race in a sentence: Pretty uneventful for a wet race. 5/10

Best driver: Bottas. But I did not think he was dominant at all, and though the situation was tricky, every sane driver knew what he had to do. Verstappen, Leclerc were driving very specific deltas. Max bored me with his approach, but I understand his motive. He said already on Friday Red Bull did not have the speed to challenge Mercedes. So that was his mindset. Sane. But...
Worst driver: Ricciardo. Sorry mate. Most sympathetic driver on the grid, found out every three weeks or so.
Best team: Red Bull.
Worst team: Haas. Everything they do is like riding out the season until a new owner shows up.
Best overtake: Lewis on Tsunoda... but it was almost a shame he repeated the move several times with other drivers, which showed that, in the end, he has just so much more speed in the car than almost anyone on the grid.
Worst overtake: There were too many...
Best moment: Lewis and Perez.
Worst moment: Ghasly thinking he much less room to Perez than he thought, hence he ruined Alonso's race.

And the race in a sentence: Okayish in general F1-terms, for a damp race boooooring!

Worst driver: Mazepin by default.

Actually, it would be nice if he were merely the worst by default.

Problem is, race-in race-out he is bent on demonstrating that he is not only the worst driver, but also a copiously bleeding asshole on track.

IMHO, he’s lucky that Lewis was careful and aware of who he was dealing with. If he had taken Hamilton out, the latter would have been justified in doing more to him than Piquet did to Salazar, except who knows what the consequences of that might have been…

He drives like what he is, the equivalent of Gotti’s son in an F1 car.

Best driver:  BOT

Worst driver:  MAZ - Moving chicane
Best team:  Not Mercedes
Worst team:  Can we simply install HAAS as the choice unless overruled?
Best overtake Battle:  HAM on PER.  The oldsters showing how to do it.
Worst overtake:  ALO on MSC
Best moment:  HAM on PER
Worst moment:  Waiting for the track to dry enough for slicks and it not happening.

And the race in a sentence:  A poor game of chess on a recalcitrant track.

Best driver: Bottas

Worst driver: Tsunoda for spinning out of a possible points position

Best team: Red Bull. Ferrari had pretty good race pace.
Worst team: Aston Martin for putting Vettel on slicks
Best overtake: one of Perez
Worst overtake: Alonso on Schumacher
Best moment: Perez defending against Hamilton
Worst moment: bad strategy of Aston Martin ruining Vettel's race

And the race in a sentence: nice track but uneventful race
