Renowned motorcycle racer Eddy Elias lost his life in a road accident which happened on 21 October 2006 at Sharm-el-Sheik, where he lived since the 1990s.
I have no more information about this talented rider.
Was he Italian? Any help about his racing career?
He contested the Italian Motorcycle Championship in the 1970s and 80s, riding Suzuki and Kawasaki machinery. He won a Junior 500 title, don't know what year.
He also tried to compete in the World Motorcycle Championship.
In more recent years Eddy Elias took part in several editions of the Rallye des Pharaons.
