Oh, my...

It did take me a moment to realize where I was, of course, thinking that I had somehow been teleported elsewhere.

As a thought, why the angst from the Dark Side?

I haven't read the article -- and can't for that matter given that my account was terminated with extreme prejudice some time ago -- so not able to understand point of the provocation.

No angst. Just annoyance that someone opens a thread telling an article is error strewn but then doesn't say how or why. Of all people, Don, you should know how awful netiquette that is.

Still waiting for Gary.

No malice intended, just that sometimes journalists look through 'rose tinted' glasses!

Sorry, no problem. I was just caught by surprise and a bit baffled by it all. Not like you.

Again, I can't read the article since my account was terminated with extreme prejudice back a few years ago -- and I never bothered to deal with it after the usual run-around. All I can see is the the opening sentence or so and no clue what its focus is.

I was a bit surprised to learn it was going well in 1980 and it was '81 when things started to go downhill...

Slight thread drift, but I think it was Fittipaldi that DCN paid cash to for a DFV to form part of the restoration of Lotus 49 R3, with him witnessing Emerson handing the cash out some mechanics as final payment as the doors were literally closing at their HQ for the final time?
