I guess we'll see what we want. He doesn't even attempt the corner until Hamilton is off the track. People are suggesting it's 2 great drivers not giving an inch etc. It's not. Max had a good start and a bad attitude. There wasn't a great duel. Lewis worked his arse off in turbulent air to get a chance and had his hard work taken away by poor stewarding.
Max, otoh, what was great about his race exactly?

Okay, he puts a *laughably small* amount of steering lock into the corner!
Amazing
As mentioned in the other thread:
Please try to educate yourself. Drive a sim or book a track day or something. Go into a corner with too much speed and experiment which will make your car more likely to rotate: more steering lock or less. He had to apply less steering lock to get any bit of rotation whilst scrubbing enough speed until grip restored and he could rotate more.
The steering angle to me confirms he was trying to get his car to rotate but just couldn't scrub enough speed fast enough. Because he went in with too much speed.

As mentioned in the other thread:
That is not how it is, drove many different cars on track, (no sim) Max knew what he was doing and pushed Hamilton wide with 100% intention, as the footage also shows, he had no intention of trying to turn to the left to back out ,simple penalty usually.

As mentioned in the other thread:
You're p****** into the wind, mate. Admirable, but futile.

Max almost lost a glove because of the turbulence when Lewis passed him there !
I think you're the only one to get that my post was sarcastic. "The pass" was hardly an epic one considering the speed of the Merc..

Well one thing’s not surprising. Having the footage hasn’t settled the arguments.
Humans are blind believers in anything they want to believe in and they see anything literally the opposite to what it is to suit their belief expectation.

I think we all enjoyed the ride here, but now that the footage, like Britney, is free, we’re now just discussing the actual incident and we have an existing thread for that.
