Sweden this time around - on February 5-6 at Pite Havsbad, wherever that is.  And, it won't be in a stadium for a change.

Currently signed are...

Valtteri Bottas – Mercedes F1 driver
Mika Hakkinen – Double F1 champion
Mattias Ekstrom – DTM legend turned World Rallycross star
Tom Kristensen – Nine-time Le Mans winner
Johan Kristoffersson – Rallycross legend
Sebastien Loeb – Nine-time World Rally champion
Travis Pastrana – Extreme sports star
Oliver Solberg – World Rally driver, son of Petter
Petter Solberg – 2002 World Rally champion

That's a very Nordic list with no Brits so far, so expect DC to be dragged out again.

I read somewhere that Jimmie Johnson would participate.  Solberg is '03 champ.

Also, Solberg was the 2014 and 2015 World RX champion.

To be held on snow?  At least that will liven up this moribund and dull event.

Yes, and Paul di Resta, they're the most northerly we've got.

Brands Hatch in March is what I'm sure you actually mean.

Either Brands Hatch or Gran Canaria - just not in some random stadium somewhere.  Or apparently in a Norwegian holiday camp this time?

Oyyh!
While racing on a frozen lake is awesome. As a Norwegian I feel obligated to point out that it is in Sweden, the lesser of the two countries!

Pite Havsbad is in Sweden's "Northern Riviera", apparently. Can confirm from looking at a map that it's pretty far north.

Thankfully not in a stadium, so maybe the first one worth watching since Barbados (I think it wast there) a few years back.

I would actually love to see the Bercy karting event back. Loved that more as the Race of Champions. Philippe Streiff used to organise that but it's a long time since they've last done it.

They've got Loeb, so that's 9 championships just there.
