Dear Readers,

I would like to introduce a magazine, of which I am the editor of. Rare & Unique Vehicles is a 148-page English-language quarterly magazine. Each issue focuses on a special theme. Our Winter 2022 focuses on Speed with a lot of articles on record-attempting racing cars, early autosport, racing personnel and more. Topics include the 1903 Paris-Madrid race, the 1912-1914 Peugeot L45 racing cars, the Enterprise from Australia, life and record attempts of Eric Fernihough, Abarth record cars, the Lotus 56 and more.

The reason I put the magazine here is that we try to move a little bit away from the usual classic car magazine format - to that end we try to offer more in-depth coverage with list of sources and so on.

You can learn more about the magazine here:

Regards

Pal Negyesi

I've been subscribing to this fine journal from the start and can say as an amateur motoring historian (SAHB member) I find this an invaluable source of hard to find information. It is particularly strong in having a continental European perspective in an English language publication, rather than the usual British or American slant. It is full of in depth, properly researched and written articles and I can highly recommend it to serious enthusiasts.

I have no connection with the journal or with Mr Negyesi.

Possible Goodwood theme...one-offs through the ages.  The Leyat for instance hasn't been there for ages.

Our latest issue is full of racing stories - central theme is Women. We feature racing women such as Gwenda Glubb (later known as Gwenda Stewart and Gwenda Hawkes), Hellé Nice, Lucy Schell and a Russian Princess. There are also racing cars, such as a Maserati A6GCS 300 prototype.
