Not saying that Requiem calculated the correct odds of retirement, but that is definitely not an example of gambler's fallacy.

Gambler's fallacy is actually almost the complete opposite. Gambler's fallacy would assume that because Hamilton hadn't had a dnf in so long he was more likely to have one this race. I think what you're accusing him of believing in is something more like the "hot hand fallacy", where you assume that because someone has had good luck recently means that their luck will continue. That's probably a hard argument to defend though

you are absolutely right.

Gut feeling is that Max will win it, and I would always find it difficult to argue against the title going to the driver with most wins, even though Spa was a joke and should not have counted - fortunately I think it relatively unlikely that the Spa points will affect the outcome.

Realistically, at least as far as I am concerned, unless Lewis wins both races then Max wins the title.  A poor finish from either of them would then eliminate them from the title.  I just don't see a high enough probability that either has a poor result, other than the two of them taking each other out during an attempted pass/first lap incident.

I am a Lewis fan actually and I thought he had a better chance but after looking at the math and tie breaker rules Lewis needs to be almost perfect (he doesn't need the FL points but he really needs both wins).

While you might want to wait before you buy your "Max is the Champion" tee shirt, there's still a pretty good possibility to can add it to your wardrobe.

Don't know where that's coming from, but I was wearing a Kimi cap in Zandvoort (posted in the Zandvoort race thread) and wearing no orange, I'm way too old for that stuff ;) . It's true I have a preference of Max taking the title, but contrary to what you may think, I'm not a Max fanboy nor a Lewis hater. I was only making a comment on your post because Sparky68 (RBR employee) liked it, so I made a little joke about it. No need for such a childish reaction.
