This thread show how many people are not looking at what's happening during the race, but more at the classification.

Yeah, Charles didn't put Sainz 5 tenths away pace wise, like Hamilton could do with Bottas or Norris to Ricciardo.

It's just because Sainz adapt well to the car and was at his top of his ability with that car, unlike Ricciardo.

But those 2 tenths that Charles have in his bag versus Sainz, over a 58 laps race, it's a big gap.

The problem is not that Charles didn't do a good season (he did a very good season considering the car he had), it's just that Sainz is very very very good, for me he is like Vettel was during the Red Bull era, one notch behind Alonso and Hamilton but with a much better car.

Sainz is one notch behind Verstappen and Leclerc. Better than the wingman (Bottas or Barrichello) but not on the level of top talent like Leclerc, Hamilton, Verstappen etc.

He will push Leclerc like crazy, Charles will not be able to have an off weekend because Sainz will kill him, it's the best thing for Charles.

He is freaking good.
