For you folks out there in North America, 12:15 PM Sunday in Bathurst = 7:15 PM Central time here...

Couldn't quite get my head around it, so I let Google figure it out for me.

Both Erebus cars disqualified from the Top Ten shoot-out results on a technicality - doors under the specified minimum weight.

The top 10 was amazing, Douglas lap was absolutely on the edge.

Looking at the entrants list, this is a deep, deep field. Andretti walkinshaw, DJR, tickford, 888, erebus and fpr. Deep talent pool.

5$ is such a freaking great deal! Way to use Youtube Supercars!

And thank you Alfisti for the thread and the notification - I'll definitely try to watch it all comfy from bed.

Have a cracking race y'all! GO CHAZ

Did someone move the track to Ireland? Looks cold for December and the grass is flourescant green.

Wait till someone goes onto the grass on the left at the kink - will look like a Saharan dust storm

I think they've had quite a bit of rain though in NSW in recent times

Looking forward to seeing Waters going at it with SVG and Chaz at some point 👍

Hopefully sometime soon - my 'better' half has arranged a pre-xmas catchup today with family friends, despite knowing that today was the holiest of holys.

When I rightly objected she rolled her eyes and claimed that I was going to be able to watch most of the race anyway so didn't understand why I should be upset - said get together starts at 5pm. EVERYONE knows the best bit of the race is the last freakin' hour ffs.

I don't know what this says about our relationship but I think I may need to consult a lawyer... 😅

Mostert in trouble

Edit: tyre delamination. Pits, changes tyres and takes on fuel and goes back out

I was a bkeed red holden guy but the stang just looks better. I have rented a few here too and they are great fun. The coyote is a fantastic v8, likes a rev.

So left rear for chaz, something to watch see if other cars have same issue. What kinda name is chaz anyway? Chaz. Fmd try John.

Yeah not a great place for a tyre to start falling apart on you - thankfully the tyre didn't go down completely or he would've been off at McPhillamy.

TCR guys have had a heap of similar tyre issues all week as well.

Re: Gen3, the new Mustang looks about 100x better than what passes for the current 'Mustang' Supercar - it actually looks like one for a start!   I think overall the Mustang is a better looking car than the Camaro anyway, though admittedly the Camaro from some angles does look the business. Will be interesting to see how they perform on track, with supposedly less aero than the current cars. But they desperately need some other manufacturers/body styles represented though, Gen3 is looking more NASCAR than Australian touring cars at the moment - and Chevrolet will be stopping production of the Camaro in 2024 as well. I have no idea though where they are going to get anyone else to come in and play from...

Other issue with camaro is you can't see out if it, viewing lines are garbage.

I dunno what supercars does, at some point the tribalism will die with no gm. Maybe they just run an aussie gt3 series?

Jesus Ingall is suddenly grandpa old. Some people just flip a switch and get old overnight.

SVG commented on the lack of vision in the Camaro after his first run in it.

I guess the hope is that GM will have another model that they will eventually want to use, but it will all depend on how well the GMSV move is received here in Australia. If it tanks then there will be no reason to stay.

GT racing might be a bit of a stopgap but it doesn't really seem to get a lot of support here in Oz. But then maybe with all the big name drivers/teams playing, maybe that would change a bit.

I was thinking the same thing about Ingall - sounds like he was finding it a bit harder than he thought it would be

Well that's a first - SC called for an errant echidna! 😅

Almost as if race control was looking for an excuse to call the SC

An echidna, that'll do me.

This race has also featured an albino wallaby and a lizard the size of a small dog.
