Let's do this then.

Best driver: Ocon... I mean. Luck, but didn't do a mistake really.
Worst driver: Perez
Best team: Dance-crew at the opening
Worst team: FIA Team of "leaders"
Best overtake: Ocon from 2nd to 1st during red flag. Quite amazing.
Worst overtake: Mazepin on Norris
Best moment: Eh. Amount of rainbows on the #WeRaceAsOne #WeTryToGiveImpressionThatWeCare thing.
Worst moment: Decision to race here.

Gave the race a 5. In hindsight, the race was actually quite bad. Should've been a 2. "1" is reserved for "races" like Spa in 2021.

Best driver: Ocon
Worst driver: Max
Best team: none
Worst team: HAAS
Best overtake: Sainz had many
Worst overtake: too many clumsy efforts to count
Best moment: when it ended
Worst moment: Brake check

And the race in a sentence: If I wanted to watch NASCAR, I would watch NASCAR

Best overtake: I think Ocon passed Gasly on the outside of T5 on lap 1. But it wasn't Hamilton or Verstappen or DRS, so we never got a replay of it.

Gave it a 7.

Podium spots contested for most of the race, the other points-paying positions too, other racing going on.

A fair amount of goofiness in evidence, so, as many have suggested, it was more entertaining than "good racing all around," but IMHO there was still enough legit contention (not to mention long stints of Max and Lewis driving balls to the wall) to give it a B-grade.

Shocking and surprising: a Mazepin off that wasn't his fault! :stoned:

A shame that Kimi added to Seb's headaches. :well:

Probably the worst race I've seen in my life, and been following F1 since around 82-83...

Me since 1965. I don't count Spa 2021 as a race.

***** Of course I am not including any of the races that had serious injuries, or fatalities. I thought that goes without saying, but on second thought ... maybe it needs to be said.

Best driver:  Esteban Ocon & Lewis Hamilton
Worst driver:  Max Verstappen (with a considerable margin, behaved like a hooligan on track and like a bad loser on the podium)
Best team:  Mercedes
Worst team:  Haas
Best overtake:  Ocon on Gasly was brilliant
Worst overtake:  Verstappen during the first restart
Best moment:  I thought it was a highly entertaining race with a lot of emotions so difficult to pick one moment. Lewis winning I guess.
Worst moment:  Bottas passing Ocon just ahead of the finish line, Alpine & Ocon deserved that podium after such a fine performance

Worst driver: Perez, though crash was not his fault
Best team: Mercedes
Worst team: Ferrari
Best overtake: Verstappen repassing Hamilton with DRS
Worst overtake: Kimi on Vettel
Best moment: Toto smashing his headset
Worst moment: Lewis getting away with no penalties.

It makes Indy 2005 looks like a proper race.

1.

Thats not racing, it wasn't a sport.

That was WWF.

FIA and FOM need to take this feedback onboard and do something constructive and effective with it.

(There is no point doing global fan surveys then ignoring this feedback).

Pretty incredible that the highest rating is 1 and the 2nd highest is 10. I don't think I've ever seen scoring even remotely like this before.

Best driver: Hamilton. Kept his head, brought home the points.

Worst driver: Max - worst drive of his career by some margin. One of the worst F1 drives I've ever seen.

Best team: Red Bull - great call on not pitting under the first SC and going for mediums on the second restart, gave Max two chances to win a race he should have had no part of.

Worst team: Nothing stood out to me.

Best overtake: Max on the second restart, lovely move and nice to have something in the race to remind us of why he's in the WDC fight

Worst overtake: of the ones actually completed, Max after the immediate repass. The first restart and the first corner later on were worse, but not sure they count as they were attempted overtakes rather than actual ones.
Best moment: Lewis taking the win.

Worst moment: the brake test. But the two T1 lunges were pretty bad too. Dishonorable mention to Masi making an absolute pig's ear of the rules.

Best driver: Ocon for always fighting, but fairly
Worst driver: Verstappen for always fighting unfairly
Best team: Mercedes, for keeping both cars in play
Worst team: Red Bill Racing, for trying to pedal the lie that Max hadn’t brake-tested Lewis, when they knew perfectly well the telemetry said he did.
Best overtake: Bottas / Ocon final corner
Worst overtake: Max Verstappen T1 (x2)
Best moment: Max walking off the podium; shouldn’t have been up there.
Worst moment: Listening to Masi barter with the RBR racing director, like RBR should have the vote in that situation!! They knew they were fitting new Mediums onto Max’s car, whilst everybody else was on hard rubber, so the position drop was meaningless.

And the race in a sentence: unnecessarily dangerous track, exacerbated by an unnecessarily dangerous driver

Best driver: Hamilton (honourable mention to Ocon) - kept his head despite the constant underhand tactics and blatant cheating of....
Worst driver: Verstappen - never going to be my favourite, but genuinely thought he'd grown and matured.  He'd be a danger in a playground.
Best team: Mercedes - kept it together and nearly closed out the WCC
Worst team:  Aston - seemed nowhere
Best overtake: Bottas at the last corner of the last lap
Worst overtake: Anything involving Verstappen 'defending'
Best moment: It ending
Worst moment: Verstappen losing it.

And the race in a sentence:  Awful, uncomfortable viewing.  The result worked out alright, but this is not sport when a competitor is allowed to act outside the rulebook with impunity (and even tacit support from the governing powers)

Yes.  This was the first time ever in countless GPs over many centuries where I was going to switch it off and do something else more enjoyable, like hitting myself over the head with a frying pan.  But I didn't.  The Force is weak in this one, Obi.

Opposite to most posters' opinions, the track was great for me: very fast, overtaking was possible and best of all, it  was unforgiving. Concerning the safety, I don't think it was that dangerous: we saw several high speed crashes and not a driver injured. There was an F2 driver taken to hospital, but the accident was unrelated to the track. Only problem was that, unlike Monaco, the crews were not trained for a quick removal of the wrecked cars or debris.

Didn't watch it and I don't think I ever will.

F1 shouldn't be racing in Saudi Arabia.

From what I've read and saw on a news broadcast, it was rather chaotic - and not in a good way. Those sweeping curves which are blind and with the walls lining them are asking for trouble.

Something is *very* wrong here. As I said elsewhere, we all have to make compromises in life...but this leaves a very sour taste in the mouth. Racing there at all, the nature of the circuit, the fact that it was completed without time to hold another race before the grand prix weekend, Max and the brake testing incident....F1 did not cover itself in glory.

I attended a five hour amateur jazz jam instead of watching the race.
