2022 Canadian GP tickets went on sale yesterday. Some guys on a local Austin forum are trying to go, and they're saying that all the grandstands are already sold out. Can anyone confirm or deny?

ETA: A poster said he just called CGV directly, and they have no tickets.

Pre-sale doesn't start until 16 December. I am signed up for their mailing list.

But there is a press release that says they went on sale yesterday, and both F1.com and Gootickets are already sold out.

I've already booked my (transatlantic very expensive) flights lol, so ......

As they have missed a couple of seasons, could it be that many have not asked for a refund and carried their tickets over, therefore very limited availability?

Yep. That's what I figure. Add in that tickets have effectively been being sold for 2+ years. We saw it here in Austin, and Austin only missed one GP, not two. I'll be shocked if COTA has anything like that kind of crowd next year.

Looking at their website, it looks like you have, of course, people who just carried over their 2020 & 2021 tickets to 2022, and then 1st priority on purchasing new tickets went people who got refunds, starting yesterday. It seems like maybe that's all it took. The presale for everyone else starts on the 16th, if there's anything left. If you want to try that, you need to register by the 12th.

Quebec is not known for making anything easy, they just do things differently up there. Speak to three different company reps and you will likely get three different answers

I dunno, I've always found CGV customer service/sales to be very helpful and efficient - esp compared to the likes of COTA.

The Canadian GP twitter account just responded quickly to me with this. Just another example of their awesomeness.
