I think that there isn't yet a topic for this, so let's start it. Here I propose we discuss the SRO GT series, the GT Open series, the 24H series. Dubai is just in a few weeks and should be exciting, I also think a new Lambo may appear later in the season. Which championship are you expecting most?

Maybe summer date like in 2020 would help that, May is a bit risky.

I love watching them race in rain, sleet, snow, dead of night. Adds a bit of drama and changes the strategies. And the wrecks are spectacular!

Thank you for starting this thread Alex and getting the hype flowing strong for the GTs.
The race I am looking most forward to ( alongside the Daytona 24 of course ) is the 9 Hours of Kyalami, rescheduled for the weekend of the 5th of February.
I really hope that it goes forward and that we start the next Intercontinental GT Challenge season just 3 weeks after that in BATHURST.

Yeah, Kyalami is going to be super, 2020 was really dramatic and I expect the same. BTW, I am still catching with the GT Open series from 2021. Is there a difference in the GT3 cars there from the GT World series?

Mmm...
I think you'll get a few curious fans. Like, if you were already into racing you might check out your local GT race because Rossi's in it and novelty. But I don't think he'll bring many eyeballs or ticket sales. I also think he'll struggle a bit. Not because he's bad but because this is a big jump. Is he doing the Pro or the Pro Am or Other?

Ford brings the Mustang to GT3 in 2024. 2 factor cars run by Multimatic, and a commitment of 20 cars for customers. And the GT4 program continues with a new car next year as well:

Audi has just launched a EVO kit for the R8 this season. Honda will have 1 or 2 more cars in IMSA this year.
Also, Ferrari finally have a new car in the works based on the 290 (or something that they are calling it). The 488 has not been produced since 2019.

Remember, GT guys and gals - this weekend we race at Kyalami to final give closure to last year's Intercontinental GT Championship.
And the race is live at 10am UK time on Youtube.
It's real cool to see such an event happen where the last variant first appeared but the weather is worrying as Superpole got cancelled because of the wet conditions.
I'll join in the fun tomorrow a bit half way distance as I work at night, Cheers.

Also worth noting: Toyota plan to replace the RC F with a new GT3 car based on the concept shown at the Tokyo Auto Salon. Since that concept was just a race car, that means a shiny new toy will be coming to a dealer near you as well. May include an all-electric version as well.

I am fairly certain they would demand it. Certainly, Toyota's competitors would be furious if Toyota were permitted to do otherwise.
