He 'cried' because he was sad the filming was ending and he's had such fun doing it. 

 

The ending doesn't seem leaked at all... I'm none the wiser what it all means in the context of the film.

I think they are speculating with who is/isn't on the podium and what trophies are there, but it's not the sort of film I'd expect to have a shock endng anyway.
