Lots of great races missing from the archive, and sadly they are not going to be uploaded.
Have they given up putting more on the app then? That would be a shame as there are lots of important ones missing as well as a baffling number from 1999.

The greatest motor race ever was the 2013 bathurst 1000 because they raced the last 4.5 hours with just one safety car well from the end and finished all over each other.I actually beg to differ, overrated for me. Too many safety car periods for it to be considered a great race in the purest sense and some questionable moves on track by the winner.
Sure I’ll get piled in on now for this unpopular view!

Quite agree. The bits where Schumacher was flying in the wet and looking like a potential winner and the final lap, were great. The rest was a bit of a mess.

Couple of great races that are usually overlooked: South Africa 1978 and San Marino 1981.

The opening laps of the 1997 Monaco GP, when something like half the grid gets their tyre choice 100% wrong for track conditions, are extremely entertaining.

Oh, well that's a big disappointment. I suppose that's the risk when converting them for public consumption costs money. At some point you've done all the really notable ones and the ones that remain aren't worth the expense.
Hopefully one day they see enlightenment and stop taking down the races posted on Youtube that they have no intention of publishing themselves.

The app is bit rubbish. Can’t resume a race or season. Sometimes buffer and switch to lower resolution.

Canada 2011 was the gift that kept on giving. A proper afternoon of F1.
I had a perfect day planned out. Watch the Canadian GP then go to the cinema to watch Senna. And it was a date. I ended up missing the 2nd half of the race but recorded it to watch later... as soon as I turned the TV on I had the result spoiled

One more thing to blame Ayrton for ...

That's a hard way to learn to change channel before you turn off the TV.

1989 Brazilian Grand Prix is a pretty good watch on the F1 TV app: there's full race coverage (guess it was the Sunday teatime slot on the BBC), beautiful colourful pictures, tyre trouble and a good battle between McLaren, Ferrari, Williams, Benetton and Leyton House. And a very clear sense of relief from Murray and James that it's not Senna and Prost lapping the field as usual.

Over on the nostalgia forum there's a thread for nuggets people have unearthed on Youtube and other video sharing services....lots of stuff there that might be of interest.

Canada 2011 was the gift that kept on giving. A proper afternoon of F1.
I was doing my military service at the time and was sitting on a several hours long bus ride back to the barracks watching the race from my phone.
I don't remember if my phone died or if I had to put it away when I arrived to the gate, but I do know that I missed the last lap (ONLY the last one).
So I was a bit gutted when 30min later I saw what had happened and what I had missed

You might be aware already....but the full live coverage has been in circulation for some 30 years from an off-air tape someone made on a reel to reel VTR back in the day. Nostalgic stuff!

Spa 1992 is worth watching for various reasons. Wet Spa race of course, MS' first win, how it easily could have been Brundles only win ever instead, and those few laps Senna gambled to stay on slicks on a wet track.

I'm still convinced the Jordan was helped to those wins in 99 by clever engine mapping. Especially that performance at Magny-Cours

I'd recommend 1997 Cleveland Champcar race. It was an amazing circuit and of course bucketloads of Zanardi magic!

I've just randomly watched the 1990 Australian GP. a fairly normal race for the time, had it happened today, we'd all be raving about how exciting it was.

Portugal 1989 was one I used to rewatch from my VHS collection. There is even a video on YouTube that has the entire race from on-board Berger’s winning Ferrari.
