Good. I would still rather go there for a second race, than many other tracks for the first time.

I know some people really don't like this race but I'm glad it stays. Already a modern classic in my eyes and presents somewhat of a different challenge with the endurance aspect.

No word about the track modifications? I thought it was supposed to be a sure thing.

I used to enjoy it, in the pre-WWE days. Inasmuch as I care about F1 at all, this is probably not a bad move.

Yuck.  Seven more years of tedious floodlit concrete alleyways with all the character of a shopping mall toilet.  Even F1 deserves better than this.

It's a good city track, just looks awful. Grey concrete, walls and fences. Like a gray rat labyrinth.

Such a beautiful modern green city and such a awful grey thing...and night is not helping, it is even worse.

I like this race. I'm glad it's back for several more years.

Still waiting on an announcement of the COTA 5-year extension I was told about weeks ago. The silence is interesting.

Are Singapore one of the countries going for the ‘zero Covid’ approach? Or is that Hong Kong?

If so, pointless signing this contract as the F1 circus will never be there again!

Wasn’t there a rumour that they would delete the ‘under the grandstand’ section?
Hope they update some 90 degree corners, like they did in Abu Dhabi.

I like how they tout 'night race' as the main attraction of the event even though we have like 5 others full night / ends in dark races.

Somehow the first night race, despite being held on a strip of featureless tarmac and bland concrete barriers, with no part of the circuit contributing anything to what could reasonably be considered good racing, and held in a non-democratic country, has actually managed to be the least worst one we go to...

I'm good with it. Singapore held the first night race in F1, and iirc it was the only one for a while. The "F1NightRace" branding started back then.

I like Singapore. It's a good place for F1, the humidity makes it a challenge, and I like the endurance aspect (I think Monaco should be put back to 100 laps like it should be, which would make that more interesting).

In a way I would like to see Singapore run in the day now there are so many night races - the scenery would be spectacular.

Easily one of the worst tracks on the calendar. I would rather have Istanbul, Mugello, Algarve.

It was a pretty interesting look when GP2 used to race there in the daylight.

I've realised recently that I don't really like night races in F1, from the visual standpoint somehow it just looks boring to me. Even tracks like Sakhir or Abu Dhabi look better during the day in my opinion. They should just leave the night to endurance racing  :p

Yeah, the right-left into a left-right combination in the final sector were all due to be removed. It would create a new straight, which would lead into the final chicane.

It depends on when construction work to remove that area starts.

IMO, that was the best part of the track.

Perhaps they could switch Qualifying to daylight. I went to the first race in 2008 and seem to remember that there was some Friday running done in daylight - maybe FP1. Formula BMW certainly ran in daylight.

I too like the endurance aspect. It's tiring even just walking the track.

Great country bad track.
