I have not been able to get a response to online inquiries and phone calls.

Are they still functioning as regards supplying photo(s) for a book? I have been trying for some weeks without a response.

Are Zoe and/or Kevin still there by any chance? Does anyone have a contact number or email address?

Your experience is quite concerning.

I do hope Kevin Wood has not left them.
I last had contact about three years ago, when his email was
kevin.wood@motorsportimages.com

Motorsport Images’ recent pricing policy has certainly deterred many from using them.
A great pity….

Many thanks for the contact Jim.  I haven't been there since they were LAT so will follow up with this contact.

All seems to be well and I had an immediate reply by email from Kevin; I gather Zoe is still there too.

Unhappy news from the LAT / Motor Sport Images stable. It's been acquired by Getty.

There have been some redundancies. Zoe will be leaving. Kevin is still there.

I understand that Getty now possess the hard copy magazines - the most complete runs I know of except at Beaulieu and the Royal Automobile Club.

The personal misfortune of those losing their jobs this near Christmas is horrid, but I also fear Getty pricing, the availability of the LAT images in relatively low demand and the future of those magazines.

Coincidentally, the online Autocar archive was completed just days ago. Every issue is now available; there were gaps in LAT's collection, but they have now managed to source copies from other collections - mainly the British Library, I believe.

FYI: the Institute of Mechanical Engineers Library has complete bound runs - with indexes - of both Motor and Autocar up to 1949. They're in excellent condition, as they are seldom consulted! And it's a wonderful library to read and work in!
