I haven't  built Lego for 25 years. But then I seen this Ducati Lego Technic sportbike so I had to buy it. Im half done and it really brough back memories and I need to buy another kit. Its nice to settle down and do some building instead of doom scrolling online or watching Youtube

Anyway the next kit i have my eye on is this 2022 Mclaren F1 car. It is just coming out now. This stuff isn't cheap. There are some imitators out there now. lego is the premium brand

No cars as released by the company standing, but I bought 2 to donate stuff to the lego I had as a child,

By now my collection consists of:

Based on the real car:

1963 Jim Hurtubise Kurtis 500K-Novi.

My own fantasy cars I built, which I gave the brand name Comet, partly reflected in the decoration of the cars,

1985 Gp B Comet 221B Evo1

1989 Gp C Comet 221Cvq, occasionally transformed into the regular 221C when i want to see the barndoor rear wing another time.

2005 Comet  LMP05vq

By the way "vq" stands for Vingt-Quattre, the Le Mans version of the cars, a bit inspired by the Jaguar `LM` version name giving of the XJR's

Other then that, I have a Lunar Module

Not my video, but I've built the same Lego car with my kids when they were young. What's not shown here is that the engine cylinders were moving too. 10 cylinders! We were quite impressed by that.

That is a beauty too. They want about $180-$200 for them on Ebay. That's more than they cost new. These things hold their value.

I had this set of dune buggies from the 90's. Christmas tree, floor jack and everything. I loved it

I built it in May 2004. It still has pride of place under my TV.

I just took this photo. Some of the stickers have fallen off and it's a bit dusty  :D

Here's a couple of mine, the Speed Champions Sport Quattro S1 which is a fabulous little set (just below it's 1/18 bigger brother).

Also the 1/8th Eagle Weslake designed by RoscoPC and subsequently put into 'licensed' production by Xing Bao from China.

Xing Bao completely ripped RoscoPC off and I am buying the stickers from him to replace the terrible ones in the kit.

The Eagle is an extraordinary model and I am making the Ferrari 312T as well.  I have added a pic with a 1/18 Lotus 49 to add some scale.

Mint

Every time I think we've covered them all, a new one pops up.

!!! Was that blue one a custom order or something ?

!!! Was that blue one a custom order or something ?

it’s a RoscoPC design https://www.roscopc.it/ that was the ‘Licensed’ by Xing Bao and made commercially available.

Unfortunately they ripped RoscoPC off and never paid him.  They are 1/8 scale so the same size as an Amalgam but about 1% of the cost and 100% fun to build (apart from gearbox and rear suspension)

Xing Bao created sets for two of his models the Eagle Weslake and the Ferrari 312T, they named them ‘Dream Car Blue Sonic’ and ‘Dream Car Red Blitz’.
You can find them easily on Amazon and eBay for between £55 & £100 which makes them extraordinarily good value.  The overall quality is about 90% of Lego.

He creates sets of Stickers for his models which is a nice way of making sure he gets some return for his amazing efforts.

Ask away for any more details.

Regards Mike

I finished the Xing Bao 312T over the weekend, absolutely awesome model and super fun to build.

Just a couple of snaps one showing the rather lovely Lego Flat 12 and the final one with its 1/43 little brother to give a sense of scale to this brilliant model (the stickers are temporary and will be replaced with RoscoPC's).
RoscoPC is an absolute Lego genius/magician.
