I wonder if AlphaTauri will do the same as Red Bull and present the FOM show car with the 2022 AlphaTauri livery when they unveil their 2022 car on Monday or will they actually show the real car, I'm guessing they will do the same as Red Bull.

If Reddit leak is true, they are showing the real car.
I think it is true.

Woah boy! That is some ugly stuff.

It looks like that picture is the chassis in the paint shop and it is not finished...like all around the Alpha Tauri and HRC stickers is still to be filled in blue.

The racing number is on it, as well as a sponsor/slogan on the side of the tub.
I highly doubt if it is unfinished. I think this is the end result. It would also be very amateurish if another patch of blue would have to be added in a second go. That's a no no in the world of car spraying.

Not sure it's ugly, but those sidepods are something else!

Nice looking fast car. Gasly will be winning races. AT is a threat.

I think the paint job is fine, until actually assembled into a complete car I chose not to have an opinion looks wise.

Looks cool. Why can't we have Mugen-Honda back? HRC is for bikes..

I'm already a fan of the AT livery. But those sidepods seem crazy and very tubular. Am I seeing things or does it look like the sidepod opening is super low in height and starts really far forward near the drivers knee!?
Imagine if they have gone polar opposite to RB and end up with the better concept!
I really hope the car is wild looking and reliable from the get go. Have warmed to Gasly a lot.

They just announce a few weeks ago that HRC is now the brand for everything racing, cars and bikes.

It's just the view angle IMO.
The sidepods seem to start at a similar point and height as the other 3 cars IMO, so they start very early and exploit all the sidepod entry volume. The tunnels and the bib+tea tray are missing. The rest of the sidepod looks similar to the AM to me, with big undercut, but is more sloped and downwashy, whereas the AM have more horizontal sidepods. So halfway between Haas and AM.

Interesting shape of the airbox. And currently McLaren has the most forward placed sidepods, when looking at the Halo mount on top and the start of the sidepods. I do not think Alpha Tauri differes al lot from that.

Yeah definitely looks like AM but the inlet is massive like the airbox versus the decoy black on the AM inlet.
At least no awful red Honda logos, livery should look tidy like FW22 BMW Williams vibes.

Airbox seems to be the same as before

Some interesting shapes around the sidepods and engine cover. Looks like a stepped pyramid. The livery is smart though the blue looks to have been toned down since the rebrand. Looks more like denim blue than the original bold navy blue.
Funny how the orange of “FleXboX” stands out.

Interesting sidepod design where they meet the floor at the end, looks straight out of the coanda-era.

The first nose that doesn't have a flap extending down/forward of it. Very standard looking car. The bib profile/area looks odd. Need to look closer.

only car which livery wise always looks better at the launch than on track

The nose looks loooooooonnng and sleek. A good looking car, I quite like the livery! Would be interesting to see a top shot.
Push-rod front too.

Looking at the side view of the car, they seem to have built up the cockpit sides just below the halo, the drivers helmet seems to be partially hidden by higher cockpit sides which I've not noticed on any of the other new cars that have been revealed so far.

Sidepods shape reminiscing a bit of a Coanda effect?
#44
Posted 14 February 2022 - 11:41
It looks like they have both an undercut and an overcut around the sidepods. Reminds me of the 2013 Red Bull and its use of the coanda effect.

Sick livery, absolutely love it (minus the hideous Flexbox-logo).
The Aston is still the best looking of the bunch for me though.

They have also a winglet at the bottom of the front wheel mudguards it seems, interesting.
EDIT: Actually I read somewhere that these are spec parts so will be included in all cars.
