As I have been going through my Birmingham Superprix research with the F3000 races that took place from 1986-1990.

I got some gaps in my research about the principals/managers of the old F3000 teams. Could anyone help me to fill in the names who ran their F3000 teams please?

1986:

Roni Motorsport (driver - Steven Andskar)

Minardi Team/Adolfo (driver - Alberto Bertuzzi)

Equipe Danielson (drivers - Richard Dallest and Alain Ferte)

1987:

Who drove for Bertram Schafer and who is the team principal?

1988:

Footwork Spirit (driver - Aguri Suzuki)

Middlebridge Racing (driver - Phil Andrews)

GA Motorsport (drivers - Perry McCarthy and Claudio Langes)

Colt Motorsport (drivers - Jarin Nurminen and Giovanna Amati)

ARF Racing Organisation (driver - Franco Scapini)

Tamchester Motorsport (drivers - Alfonso Vinuesa de Garcia and Peter Bourque)

1989:

Player's LTEE/LTF 3000 Racing (driver - Stephane Proulx)

Footwork Formula (driver - Damon Hill)

Pacific Racing (drivers - Eddie Irvine and JJ Lehto)

Middlebridge Racing (drivers - Mark Blundell and Phil Andrews)

CDM Motorsport (drivers - Paul Belmondo and Erico Cheli)

Roni Motorsport (drivers - Andrea Cheisa and Emmanuele Naspetti)

Automotor/Racing for Italy (driver - Franco Scapini)

Leyton House (driver - Gary Brabham)

1990:

Middlebridge Racing (drivers - Gary Brabham and Damon Hill)

Hopefully any of you can help me to fill in the missing names of the team principals of those old F3000 teams. Thank you very much

Altfrid Heger drove, and team principal was Herr Schäfer himself. But did they even go to Birmingham? I think the F3000 team folded early that season.

Pacific Racing was Keith Wiggins

For Danielson I have Joseph Le Bris, but I'm not sure. The Minardi F3000 team was taken over by ITI, wasn't it? That would have been Pierluigi Corbari.

For Footwork, I have Wataru Ohashi, but I think he was more owner than principal. Maybe Takuya Yura? Middlebridge Nursey, I agree, GA Motorsport Mike Collier. I have Franco Scapini driving for Roger Cowman in '88, perhaps ARF was just a sponsor's name?

Proulx I have driving for GA/Mike Collier, Pacific was Wiggins (as said) and Scapini was still driving for Cowman, I think. Others as before.

Didn't NIgel Mansell lend his name to a team in the late 80s?  I have a feeling he did so, but I don't think he'd be the team principal.... .....

Could you imagine Nigel as team principal? He would wait till the dying moments of qualifying jump in the car and go quicker than both his drivers and then tell the press if he had a few more laps in the car he would have gone at least a couple of seconds quicker.

He put his name (and some £'s) into Mansell Madgwick motorsport to run Paul Warwick (Dereks younger brother) in the British F3000 championship in 1991.... As you are posting on this forum I assume you are fully aware that Paul was killed in an horrific crash at Oulton Park after which the team was no more???

Really? I thought they ran Kenny Brack in 1994 & 1995? I definitely remember them finishing the British championship in 1991 with Marco Greco and I am not sure Mansell put money in because of Paul Warwick, I think he lent the team his name.
