Used to enjoy submitting the odd question to BBV10 but now that’s only doable for members of the highest patreon tier.

Yesterday I signed up for the 7 day free trial of the patreon page.
Mainly just for the 1997 BBV10s, one thing I don't like from my initial day on it, is how their is just 1 feed on spotify, with everything in.
Most of the content seems to be free (with ads) anyway, so i'm not sure it'l be worth me paying the £4.80 a month for the odd special BBV10 content.
Maybe worth doing it every 6 or months to catch up on a batch of stuff, but certainly doubt each month will be worthwhile.
I like Frentzen and feel it could have been a better episodes, but like others the audio quality was really poor, so whilst I listened i'm not sure how much I actually took in.
You compare that to the quality of the Berger interview and it's noticable.

Frentzen struggles a bit with english, he struggles to frame his sentences so he waffles and sort of ends without making a point. In saying that his english is way better than my German so i am being harsh.

I was wondering how the unlocked content was delivered, is that a paywalled channel on spotify?
I don't actually use Spotify, so having yet another app puts me off slightly.

I wondered how it works with patreon. I listen to all my podcasts thru Apple Podcasts (yeah yeah, shoot me) and wouldn’t be arsed with switching between podcast players…
So is that how it works? You’ve got to use Spotify?

Yeah, so on patreon you have the option to link to Spotify.
But looking at the list on there, it also says you can copy the RSS link to access it through other podcast players, so I would expect Apple to be one that works.
But yeah, it's one private/membership podcast feed, with all the podcasts on it.
Looks like as well as some bonus BBv10 there are a few other podcast episode/series that aren't on the public channels,
But yeah, dubious the worth quite frankly when the core content is on the made feed with a few ads

I use the RSS feeds in the Podcast Addict app.
Colossally is quite good, but Richard Williams tails off and mumbles quite a bit.

I thought about using Patreon but figured it would mean I’d probably need to move away from Apple Podcasts and I couldn’t be bothered with that. Then one day Apple Podcasts appeared to let me give money directly and and now I get it all in my main feed, making commuting go just that little bit faster.
You know, I hadn’t checked that…. Just did and it’s £4 a month via the Apple Podcasts app.

I’ve seen this before from him. His English is okay, but he just can’t put his personality across at all in it. In German, he’s a really quirky and self-depreciating character and genuinely funny. In English he’s quite hard work to listen to, even without all the weird chirping in the background. Again though, his English is also probably better than my German!

It seems there's about 5 of those guys on that tier, because I know their names almost by heart. They usually name most of them in any listener question part.

This is an interesting topic actually, F1 personalities who are different/more engaging in their native language than English!

That's defo a thing. People change personality depending on which language they're speaking.
Lots articles online aboot that, eg https://medium.com/i...it-586ee0a6ab44
