The piped-in crowd noises drove me mad. There must be a more subtle and believable way of adding them to the mix.
Almost makes me nostalgic for the air-horn parping yahoos who seemed to accompany every Ferrari victory in the Michael Schumacher days.
I’m late to this, but I was one of those air-horn parping yahoos when I went to my first F1 race at Indy in ‘03, and I did use it, sitting across from the podium, when Schumacher won!
That wasn’t anywhere near as ridiculous as the group behind me dressed head to toe in Ferrari gear, though. One of them had something that looked akin to a giant red rubber bassoon that sounded like thunderous flatulence, and he would blow it every time Raikkonen or Montoya went by. I wonder if he thinks he was the reason that Montoya collided with Barrichello down the track from him in Turn 1 early in the race.
