Can anyone please fill the relatively few gaps that both myself and Richard Page have for the below events - all in the 1960's

Any gaps filled will be duly credited with immense thanks and appreciation.

Sorry for format, I have tried to put this in a cohesive table but the software doesn't like it  :cry:  Hope it's clear enough.

Dutch sources mention Willy Vroomen as the only "Dutchman" to finish (actually, he was Flamish, thus Belgian, but hey...), so Blydenstein must have retired.

Richard, this format is very hard to read and thus to check. Do you have my email address? Can you send me the list in a better format, so I can go quickly through my records?

If you can sort this lot out "You're a better man than I" — The Yardbirds.

Phoenix Park Races, 27 July 1963

Formula Junior Race (24 laps100 miles):

1. Adam Wylie (Lotus 27), 1 h. 0 m. 24.2 s., 99.34 m.p.h.;

2. Ted Dawson (Lotus 22); 3. Roy James (Brabham);

4. #3 Peter Procter (Cooper); 5. Dennis O'Sullivan

(Brabham); 6. Mervyn McKinney (Cooper).

Fastest lap: James, 101.66 m.p.h. (F.J. record).

Gold Flake Trophy: Race One (18 laps75 miles):

1. #45 Hon. Mervyn Wingfield (Triumph TR4), 43 m

30.6 s., 86.19 m.p.h.; 2. #58 Alex Poole (M.G. Midget); (Alec Poole)

3. Ronnie Desano (Sprite); 4. R. Dubsky (Triumph

TR3); 5. Des Cullen (M.G. Midget s/c); 6. Edmund

Williams (Sprite). Fastest lap: Wingfield, 86.67

m.p.h.

Gold Flake Trophy: Race Two (18 laps75 miles):

1. John l'Amie (Crossle), 42 m. 42.4 s., 93.37 m.p.h.;

2. John Dickson (Crossle); 3, Sidney Taylor (Lotus

Elite); 4. John Sharp (M.G.A): 5. Bertie McElhinney

(#30 Lotus 7); 6. P. Sherman Kissner (Jaguar D-type).

Fastest lap; Malcolm Templeton (Lotus 22),

102.07 m.p.h. Combined Results: 1. John l'Amie;

2. John Dickson. (Other placings not announced

until all cars are checked.)

Autosport, 2 August 1963, Pages 160, 161

AFTER winning Heat 2 of the Holmpatrick

Trophy Race at Dunboyne on 20th

July the Triumph TR4 of the Hon. Mervyn

Wingfield was re-scrutineered. As certain

modifications were not declared on his

entry form, the Race Committee of the

Leinster M.C. decided to alter his handicap

from 1 lap and 20 secs. to 2 mins. 20 secs.

raising his target speed from 78.0 m.p.h.

to 79.9 m.p.h. Wingfield averaged 81.88

m.p.h. to maintain his win in Heat 2 but,

on the combined results of the two heats,

he now drops to second place behind the

winner of Heat 1, Richard Heeley, in an

M.G. Midget. The other placings are not

affected.

Autosport, 2 August 1963, Page 151

Disqualifications Headlined

In The People, on 11th August, some very

spicy comments could be read in an article

entitled."On the Carpet!", which was written

by David Jack. Mr. Jack dealt with the dis-

qualification of the three cars in Race One of

the Gold Flake Trophy at Phoenix Park, the

re-handicapping of Mervyn Wingfield at

Dunboyne, and the disqualification of the

Mike Salmon/Peter Sutcliffe Jaguar after the

recent six-hour event at Brands Hatch. The

headline read: "The young bloods of

motoring have been caught out ... in the

mad chase for trophies!". Mr. Jack refers to

motor racing as "the only decent sport left".

Yes, sir, this article was definitely worth reading.

The long-awaited official results of Dun-

boyne and Phoenix park have not yet been

issued. A member of the Leinster M.C. has

informed me that this club made their decision

to re-handicap Mervyn Wingfield and the

matter is now out of their hands and rests with

the stewards of the Dunboyne meeting. Now

that the stewards of both the Dunboyne and

Park meetings have presumably returned from

their annual holidays, they will get down to

business shortly. It may be possible to have

the full, complete, and final results of both

meetings in the near future.

 Richard, as you’ve been working with Richard Page I guess that you’ve got everything the F1R Formula Junior books have to give. Is that correct?  I can see if Motoring News has anything if you’ve not had access to it.

Kanonloppet 20/08/61:  John Love had pole position, not sure about Maggs.  Actually, Peter Arundell had set a faster time than Love, but he did that while practicing out of session (together with the F1 cars).  He and Chapman argued that this should still count as his official practice time, but the organizers held a different view. Arundell had to start at the back of the grid.

Like Roosdorp, Willy Vroomen lived in Antwerp, however with the Dutch nationality.

I can't help with the results, but re formatting, I assume you're pasting from Excel? Did you try using the Special BBC code (to left of font control) and using the 'Pre' option, like below?
