I cannot remember when F1 was better than it is this season. Another 9 from me.
Verstappen is really really good and I feel for Hamilton, Russel was lucky today. I mean, Russel did a great race, but he would not have beaten Hamilton without the SC.

It was a race in a car park, next to a drainage ditch and the race itself wasn't exactly a classic. A decent race.

It was OK once the safety car bunched the field up. Disappointed with the track, could have been anywhere with those fences, looked OK from the helicopter apart from the stupid fake marina. Lots of sizzle, very little steak.

Not a good racing track, similarities with the Yas Marina circuit, hard to overtake despite fast sections. Everything feels rather artificial (like Yas Marina). They even created a fake marina which is utterly ridiculous. F1 deserves better race tracks than something that looks more luke a funfair than as a circuit. I guess the new Netflix "fans" will like the artificial aspect of it. Which F1 added tracks that either actually really took place in a city or that are located in a naturaly hilly environment.

Best driver: Verstappen and Bottas stood out for me as well as perhaps a shoutout for Albon.

Worst driver: Not sure really a lot of peoples races went to hell at the end there, Gasly, Schumacher, Magnussen, Ricciardo, any or all of them could have or should have gotten points in the end but messed up in some way.

Best team: I’ll give it to Alpine double points finish in that midfield mess is a good days work.

Worst team: Haas, Aston Martin, Alpha Tauri all had promising positions at one point, and all imploded.

Best overtake: I feel like the tv director missed too many to really judge.

Worst overtake: Take your pick from Alonso on Gasly, Schumacher and Vettel, Magnussen and Stroll.

Best moment: Safety car livened up a race that was becoming dull.

Worst moment: The dull middle stint.

And the race in a sentence: 6/10 - The final ten laps masked what was otherwise a bit of a dull race.

Best driver: Max. Did everything right.
Worst driver: There were a few.
Best team: RBR for getting the win.
Worst team: AM for not getting the fuel out of the fridge.
Best overtake: Max on Leclerc, since it was for the win.
Worst overtake: Where do we start today?
Best moment: Not sure actually.
Worst moment: Lando and Gasly colliding.
Best thing about the Miami circuit: Is there anything? Maybe the vibe.
Worst thing about the Miami circuit: Everything else.
Best thing about the race: -
Worst thing about the race: -

And the race in a sentence: What an awful venue. After coming from a beautiful scenery as Imola. TV images were awful. It didn’t do anything for me.

Best driver: Max Verstappen
Worst driver: Latifi
Best team: Red Bull I guess
Worst team: Aston Martin, they could have scored some healthy points
Best overtake: Vettel on Magnussen
Worst overtake: Schumacher on Vettel
Best moment: Charles attacking with all he could in the laps after the SC restart
Worst moment: Norris/Gasly crash + MS crashing into Vettel
Best thing about the Miami circuit: giving a weekend of fun to the locals
Worst thing about the Miami circuit: the asphalt
Best thing about the race: a nice time slot for us Dutchies
Worst thing about the race: all the brouhaha about some would be famous people (but then again, I seemed to have missed most of it joining just before the start of the race)

And the race in a sentence: we were treated with another real thriller - we're privileged to have a classic battle like Max vs Charles almost every race.

8/10

A 6. Would have been 4 or 5 without the late SC. Although I think we missed most of the fun stuff due to the useless director.

Best driver: Max

Worst driver: Joint between the two cops on bikes on the way to the podium.

Best team: Red Bull

Worst team: Aston Martin for the fuel issue.

Best overtake: Max on Carlos on lap 1. Crucial for his race.

Worst overtake: Mick on Seb

Best moment: The 5 laps following the safety car

Worst moment: Not much happened following the Medium to Hard pit stops

Best thing about the Miami circuit: A fast street track which punishes mistakes

Worst thing about the Miami circuit: The unnecessarily tight series of corners before the back straight.

Best thing about the race: The start time. Nice Sunday evening viewing.

Worst thing about the race: I’m sure I saw a guy in the stands at turn 12 on lap 1 taking a selfie rather than watching the race.

Best driver: Max Verstappen

Honourable mention: Valtteri Bottas had a great weekend, sadly he made a small mistake that allowed the Mercedes' to pass him.

Alex Albon: he's having a great season in a modest car

Sebastian Vettel: would have been in the points had Mick not crashed in to him

Esteban Ocon: from the back of the grid to 8th

Worst driver:  Nicholas Latifi and Mick Schumacher for ruining Vettel's race (and his own)

Best team:  Red Bull
Worst team:  Aston Martin: both their drivers had to start from the pits after they qualified well
Best overtake:  don't remember any special overtake

Worst overtake:  Mick Schumacher on Sebastian Vettel
Best moment:  Albon scoring a point
Worst moment:  Max winning. Charles not winning. Vettel losing his points finish. Haas not scoring points (in their home country, was hoping they would score points here).
Best thing about the Miami circuit:  the tight slow section that goed a bit uphill is a nice variation
Worst thing about the Miami circuit:  it feels very artifical, don't like it. No tec-pro barriers.
Best thing about the race:  nothing it was a bad race
Worst thing about the race:  all those 'celebs' in the pits: the focus should be on the sport, not on celebs
And the race in a sentence:  please bring back the German, Turkish, Indian or Portugese GP or race at a better track like Mugello (now that's a proper racing circuit!) instead of this artificial place with it's fake funfair atmosphere. Or let's hold a race at Kyalami instead of this one so we would finally race on all continents.

Best driver: Max, kudos to Alex again
Worst driver: Mick, a nice guy, but he falls short.
Best team: RBR, too bad Perez had some engine troubles.
Worst team: Ferrari. I know after a double podium it’s crazy call, but their lack of updates are going to cost them.
Best overtake: Max on Sainz. It made the race for him.
Worst overtake: Mick on Vettel, Alonso on Gasly which triggered a lot.
Best moment: The Charles Max battle after the SC
Worst moment: The trip to the podium
Best thing about the Miami circuit: Some challenging corners which were costly for some.
Worst thing about the Miami circuit: the chicane
Best thing about the race: all drivers made it the first lap
Worst thing about the race: the TV director and the NFL helmets.

And the race in a sentence: glad it’s behind us.

Bad, just bad. Circuit is dull and these cars are worse.

RBR looking streets ahead now, good for max, not sure it's good for the season though.

Special mention to Mick Schumacher for his mediocre impersonation of a racing driver, again.

The race was good.  Verstappen was calm and supreme.

The entire atmosphere was cringe-worthy.

The grid walk and the, "celebrities", all over the place were simply embarrassing.

Pharrell Williams was clearly feeling himself and not fully cogent during the "interview".

The coup de gras was the motorcycle escort to the podium.

This is the Netflix Formula One syndrome.  I'll file this under, "Be careful of what you ask for".  We wanted F1 to become more popular and here we are!!  yay.

Race: Poor. 3/10 maybe.

Mick had the worst overtake, but Hamilton managed to disgrace himself on the radio even more. Just give the drive to someone who can at least act like they want to be there.

Best driver: Verstappen
Worst driver: Latifi?
Best team: Meh, sloppy efforts from most teams today.
Worst team: Meh
Best overtake: Vettel on Latifi if I'm not mistaken. It doesn't get much tighter than that.
Worst overtake: I dunno, most overtakes weren't broadcast. I guess Mick on Vettel.
Best moment: Verstappen
Worst moment: Gasly smashing into Norris. Good grief, can we not do that?
Best thing about the Miami circuit: *crickets*
Worst thing about the Miami circuit: is this a bait question? lol.
Best thing about the race: Verstappen vs Leclerc
Worst thing about the race: The circuit.

And the race in a sentence: F1 cars on paved asphalt.

actually the best part of the race was Willy T. Ribbs saying 'baby' to the Ferrari drivers :) Great character Willy, he even tested a Brabham F1 car in '86.

Yeah, how does that matter?

Voting suggests that most people thought the race was average, it was an utter snooze until the SC and the cars are pretty bad compared to what we've had for the last 3-4 years.

Max is driving really well, the cars hooked up and save for mechanical issues, he should be miles ahead now.... Mick Schumacher is dross.

Not really sure what that has to do with Lewis, I'll always support and appreciate his talents but he's 37 with 7WDCs, it's hardly like I feel robbed at this point.

Not every opinion is based on which driver you follow.

First race in a loooonnnngggg time where I was literally falling asleep, just as Lando and Gasly had their coming together. And this wasn't even at stupid o'clock in the morning here, so that tells you something

SC spiced up the last 10 laps but before that was pretty much a complete snoozer....

He was having a pretty good race until he wiped out Vettel.

But sure, we'll all play the game where we pretend an F2 champion has no business being in F1.

True ClubmanGT: any driver that can win an F2 title deserves a chance in F1 and is good enough to drive in it. Back in the '80s half of the F3000 field would get a shot and winning an F3000 race would already get you that chance, even if it was just a couple of races, in F1. And that's the problem & reason why people complain about Mick: lack of seats because a driver like Piastri deserves an F1 seat more as Mick yes but.... truth is that both actually deserve a seat, we just don't have enough teams to give enough deserving talents a chance.

If we had 26 or 30 cars then people wouldn't complain that Mick has a seat and Piastri doesn't because much more talents would get their chance then.

Agreed. Piastri is a bolter, worried Lawson will end up in the same bind. But in a grid with Strolls and Lafitis, I don't see Mick as being even close to the worst/egregious backmarker. And if Renault want Piastri so bad, they have two seats.

Frankly I'd love to see some teams paid by the FIA to hold open seats for wildcard drivers with the chops, so the reigning F2 champ can get some seat time, or a special guest (ala Loeb) or a local hero (Dixon? Van Gisbergen? McLaughlin?) could get a look in at some events.

Sadly the current teams have a vested interest in the pie being slicked as fewer ways as possible, so we're more likely to see three car teams before we see more new ground-up outfits  :well:

They should have 2 races per year with in one seat a rookie driver (max 4 races of experience) and in the other seat either a rookie driver or an experienced driver without a race seat.

Sorry to be that guy, but the resources that were fueled into his F3 and F2 campaign to get a Schumacher back into F1 made his seasons. I really really like the guy and I really would like him to do great, but he seems to be out of his depth. Not only is it a costly affair, but it’s dangerous too. And again, I truly wish him the best.

I thought it was a race in dire need of a safety car. After Max had (inevitably) blasted past Leclerc, it just settled into a monotony that was almost Spain '99 level for quite a long time. But then the accident, the safety car and a tense battle (while it lasted) at the front where it really looked like Charles could get it back. But I don't like the track, it's just like every other F1 street circuit introduced in the past ten years, a concrete jungle of ad hoardings and silly fast kinks that does nothing for me.

Best driver - Max, for all his speed advantage down the straight was the real differentiator. He didn't put a foot wrong. Shoutout to Albon.

Worst driver - I don't think anyone really stood out as below-par but I was disappointed when Mick wiped out Vettel because he had a chance of points after outqualifying Kevin for once.

Best team - too much to say Williams for managing to magic points out of a back row car again?

Worst team - Haas had a really below par weekend.

Best overtake - Max on Sainz into T1 because it set him up for what was to come.

Worst overtake - does Mick on Vettel count?

Best moment - the safety car and Leclerc's spirited attack afterwards.

Worst moment - Gasly's idiotic driving that led to the moment above.

Best thing about the circuit - the sun, the atmosphere

Worst thing about the circuit - that it's sh*t.

The race in a sentence - YAY, SAFETY CAR!

It was an ok race.  Some nice battles, and some atrocious driving.  The tyres weren't meant to hold on, but without the SC it smelled like a typical Pirelli one stop race.

I think the poor track surface condition lead to a poor race for action.  The last 10 laps were exciting, but that was about it.  I would suggest the track did expose a few drivers being totally out of their depth, Latifi was a mobile chicane while Albon scores from the back again, and Mick Schumacher has become so desperate to score he is all over the place and goes for invisible gaps.  Carlos has turned into the perfect Ferrari number 2 as well.

I gave it a 6 immediately afterwards but now I feel that was a little generous. We had some nice battles at the end though.

Best driver: Max Verstappen
Worst driver: Probably Mick Schumacher? Seems unfair as he was very fast, but given his collision with Vettel, probably a little out of control.
Best team: Red Bull, who have either out-developed Ferrari or
Worst team: Mercedes are still performing well below their potential
Best moment: Alonso making so many places off the start.
Worst moment: Alonso's penalty. Boo!
Best thing about the Miami circuit: The effort put in by the organizers to make the Grand Prix a success. Some of it was OTT but I think it delivered.
Worst thing about the Miami circuit: The track surface was pretty terrible, according to the drivers.
Best thing about the race: Probably the safety car at the end.
Worst thing about the race: The long stretch where not very much happened -- as Jolyon Palmer observed, from an early stage things had sorted into fast cars at the front and slower cars behind them.

And the race in a sentence: Miami Gardens, the Long Beach of the Caribbean!

Lol, you could flip that statement and say you only like them because Merc arent dominating, you'd argue otherwise obviously.

I genuinely don't like the way the new cars drive, I think there about as far from my ideal car as F1 has ever been, Overweight, ugly and cumbersome.

Again, I'm capable of free thought.

Sky should consider bringing on Danica Patrick full time to provide insight along with Jenson. Thoroughly enjoyed the race and their expert comments.

I actually watched! For the first time this year.

The race wasn't bad. 6/10 for me. What was interesting was that the cars genuinely can follow better through corners....and the drivers are clearly not yet used to battles that can last several laps rather than a couple of corners. Nice to see Max and Charles going at it hammer and tongs, and fairly. The tail end of the points/midfield saw some good racing too.

Not a classic, but not a bad race by any means. I await seeing these cars on a track with lots of fast corners.

I must be contrary from Contrary land because I thought:

The track was good, had the balance between enough overtakes without it being a DRS gift

Mick Schumacher had a great race until one error, but he overtook cars, fought hard, was fast, good tyre wear

..um yeah, I thought it was great, and none of 'MY' drivers did well to bias it!

Me too, and there was a great lead battle twice during the race. Plus a tense pursuit throughout. The slightest problem for Verstappen, and Leclerc would have been on him.

Mystified by the comments about celebrities, fake marinas, and TV directors. What have those got to do with the quality of the race?

I'd give the race an 8.5 Really pretty decent with the Max v Charlie, Carlos v Checo and Merc team battles in particular and the SC spicing things up at the end. Only the DRS train effect was an annoyance.

But I'll give the overall event itself a 1 as what was nothing more than a painted car park 16 miles from Miami, was sold as the most overhyped, phoney and grating capitalist bollocks I have ever seen in my life!!!

Sky should consider bringing on Danica Patrick full time to provide insight along with Jenson. Thoroughly enjoyed the race and their expert comments.

Yea, she's been appearing in various US commentary booths over the last few years, particularly at the Indy 500, and she's really become an excellent presenter with great insight. I like her directness.

Best driver: Bernd Mayländer
Worst driver: Mick Schumacher
Best team: Red Bull
Worst team: Liberty
Best overtake: None I remember
Worst overtake: Norris on Gasly
Best moment: Changing to ironing shirts at about lap 30
Worst moment: the first 29 laps
Best thing about the Miami circuit: It has a Start-and-Finish line
Worst thing about the Miami circuit: It exists
Best thing about the race: It's over
Worst thing about the race: everything else

And the race in a sentence: The Neflixation of F1

Lol, you could flip that statement and say you only like them because Merc arent dominating, you'd argue otherwise obviously.

I genuinely don't like the way the new cars drive, I think there about as far from my ideal car as F1 has ever been, Overweight, ugly and cumbersome.

Again, I'm capable of free thought.

They're reminding me of late 90s CART cars a bit... big, ungainly in slow corners, but still IMO very good looking and wickedly fast overall. Just wish they sounded like CART machines.

Not sure what was shallower - the event as a whole or the fake marina.....

The race in a word: 'meh'.

It says something that I can't wait to get to Catalunya next. A proper circuit.

10-15 years ago I'd be yawning at the very thought of the Spanish GP. This is the way F1 is going, sadly.

I can’t understand the hate either.
Oh there were people in the pool - yeah, and tens of thousands shouting. It was fully packed
