Indeed. Little wonder Dunlop advised their runners to withdraw from the seven lapper. Alistair Seeley said that on seeing the chunks that he thought it was plastic. His  Metzelers were fine.

It tore the tail unit apart so that might be the debris Seeley was talking about.

I know the track temps went as high as 34°, in the greater scheme of things, that's inconsequential. Tyres, under no circumstances, should disintegrate at that kind of track temperature. Imagine if someone were seriously injured, they really need to get their act together.

They say it was a faulty batch so will see, hopefully they can confirm that.

Not saying much for quality control then. The tyre supposedly goes through x ray testing to establish cohesion between layers. Something not quite right there then. I'm sick to my back teeth of tyre manufactures shrugging their shoulders and blaming a bad batch. They're putting riders, and drivers, lives at risk here with total impunity.

Holy mother of god. This is a disgrace. Clearly, this is what broke Seeley's windscreen. Imagine the consequences had it hit him directly in the head.

That was a different race, Michael was on the Honda in the Superstock when that happened I think?

Richard Cooper, winner of both Supertwin races has been disqualified from both. A protest was lodged by another team against the KMR Kawasaki for having changed a fairing bracket. Yes, a fairing bracket, seems rather strange to me. The revised results nevertheless show Frenchman, Pierre Yves Bian having one the first, and Joe Loughlin, winning the second. A maiden international road race success for each rider, and a first win for France.

Ryan Farquhar, is understood to have appealed the decision.

Gutted for Richard after what he's been through over the last couple of years  ):
