There definitely was.
But that is to be expected when 20 cars are all bunched up. So you leave space.
KMag should now this by now. Its not his first year racing open wheelers

That’s some reversed logic there. But that is to be expected when 20 cars are all bunched up. So you leave space.

There's no intention of passive aggressiveness there. Didn't think those words were particularly strong. :/
I'm saying that it's a pretty simple situation that doesn't need to be overthought. If drivers are alongside - they are both bound to respect each other's line. Obviously in a situation like with Russell and Verstappen, it makes sense for a driver to choose avoidance as having the legal highground after exiting the race with zero points is a fairly poor consolation prize.
Fair enough, my apologies. I understand your position now, and have made my case, so I'll leave this here.

That’s why ultimately it’s a racing incident indeed, both partially ‘at fault’.But that is to be expected when 20 cars are all bunched up. So you leave space.

Kmag for making it so close, Hamilton for the (minor) understeer.
Excatly. Its only one gentleman driver who doesnt understand this

It was very much a classic case of two drivers going for the same piece of track and having a small coming together. Seems strange to me that it’s still generating discussion.
Any incident that raises the possibility to point out that Lewis is evil/bad will go on for some pages.

it wouldn't go further than a single post if people didn't feel compelled to argue against it. No-one is discussing with themselves.
Anyway, evil is a bit overkill. All people were saying was that they felt he was at fault. I don't see anything particularly contentious there?

You cannot just drive into another car and if they dont move, it's their fault. That's plainly ridiculous.
I agree with you Sean but I really don’t think this thread is the place to discuss 2021 Brazil Turn 4 either.

I still haven't forgiven Lewis for crashing into Nico at the 2016 spanish race.

Was Kmag vs Hamilton not popular enough for it's own thread? Surely if that happened between Lec-Ver or Ham-Ver we'd be on page 50 of a split topic...

I think the contention is that people are so eager to apportion blame to a certain person, even when the other protagonist decided that he, himself, had been slightly over-optimistic in his passing attempt.
What I found most worrying about the incident was the reflexive comment from KMag over the radio. It appears that the (false?) narrative that HAM is a cynical, dirty driver has permeated deeper than most would want to admit.
