I’m probably repeating myself to death as I believe I’ve said this every year since joining Atlas readers comments in 2001, but I absolutely LOVE F1 in Monaco!
I used to take Thursday off to watch free practice and I’ve never actively done that for other venues. The way the drivers work themselves into it, lap after lap, pushing more and more, correcting slides and brushing the walls as the track is so dusty to begin with…. Goosebumps!
The sounds of the other cars as one car blitzes into view! The atmosphere. It has an intensity you can’t get anywhere else!

The races are more often than not not veeery exciting, but I live with that when practice sessions and qualifying are so fantastic!

I am with you.

Monaco is purely for the sponsors. The media will always cry about the potential of losing Monaco but that's because they love the luxury party they get to attend with the billionaires. Don't blame them but I think if F1 was being true to the fans they would realise that a track like Malaysia is 1000x better than Monaco.

The drivers unanimously love it and endorse it being on the calendar in spite of the heavier clumsier cars, lack of overtaking. It's a different challenge over the weekend. Getting pole at Monaco is the most important pole on the calendar. I wouldn't want every race to be at any track, I appreciate the different challenges. Even doing 70 laps in a dominant car without making a mistake is a feat at monaco. Just enjoy it for what it is. I would lose 50% of the calendar before monaco. Maybe 75%.

If you make a biased comment that seems illogical then be prepared to get called out for it. Simple as that. And don’t flatter yourself mate, as much as I like you, there’s no room in my head for you . I can’t recall when was the last time we exchanged words but it must have been before Ferrari fired Seb. That was a long time ago.

Enjoy the race tonight.

I of course respect your right to disagree with anything I say, opinions being what DC once said they are. Obviously. No need to personally attack me though.

I don't however respect the apparent idea that a fan of a team would never want their team to be penalised, even if he would want another team penalised in the same situation. I at least TRY to be consistent, and often fail too.

As an aside, the part i objected to was  'Just so you know, I’m not the only one here who thinks so' . Think how you would like someone here implying a group of people are discussing you behind your back?

Anyway enjoy also, Charles looks a gimme for a win.
