Checo has been consistently very good this season. Great even in Monaco.

He is not special but if the top 2 keep taking each other points off he might have a Kimi WDC challenge

 

Would it be moreso 2010?

 

Verstappen and Leclerc will have to be thinking if we knock each other off the circuit, we're going to hand this to somebody else.

Further to the point, it was technically a 21 point swing in Australia away from Max because Max would have finished 2nd with Checo 3rd, meaning Max would have pulled a further 3 points on Checo. Also, Max would have put another 6 points on Checo in Bahrain (as they would have finished 2nd and 4th).

The irony is palpable of AndrewF1 and TenmanTaylor pulling the "swing card" for Checo, and then ignoring everything that happened to Max. It's not logic, it's just anti 33 pro 44 bias. All too predictable.

I think it's fair to take away DNFs and just talk about unlucky things like SC if we are to compare.

They do apply for the spot in february or somewhere around there and they let the Harbour Captain know how long and big the boat is. Thus, they are being appointed a specific berth.
I did notice that there were quite alot of really large yachts behind the seatings opposite of the pool. Don't know if that is a new thing.

I don’t care about the overtake but I was mildly amused by Norris’ caustic response to hearing about George bigging it up a bit.

Russell was disappointed the #F1 TV director missed his "pretty dicey" pass on Norris.

But the McLaren driver wasn't impressed by it: "If that was a mega overtake then he's done some shite overtakes!"
