Alonso for troll of the day. Classic Teflonso, best at being the worse.
Ferrari have serious soul searching to do.

Best driver - Perez, brilliant weekend all round and great to see him win.
Worst driver - probably Latifi, slow and back to stuffing it into the barriers too. Zhou sucks too.
Best team - Red Bull - although I didn’t understand their tyre call.
Worst team - Haas had a stinker again.
Best overtake - Gasly on Zhou, of the ones I saw.
Worst overtake - Ocon and Hamilton, maybe?
Best moment - seeing Mick Schumacher walk away. That’s two fairly lucky escapes this season.
Worst moment - the confusion and delay at the start.
Best thing about the race - the closeness of the top four in the closing stages, with different tyres adding tension.
Worst thing about the race - the delays, as above.
The race in a sentence - frustrating at the start but all played out pretty well.

Race itself was okay 7/10 (for Monaco) after it got going but race control and wet weather nannying was 0/10. Complete and absolute garbage, which drops it overall to 2/10

Worst driver: None stuck out
Best team: Red Bull, always thinking on their feet.
Worst team: Ferrari, threw away an almost certain win.
Best overtake: Gasly on Zhou
Worst overtake: Ocon chopping Hamilton at St Devote
Best moment: Mick walking away unharmed.
Worst moment: Schuamcher crash, thought it looked worse that it was.
Best thing about the race: Perez sticking it to Red Bull, after the team order insult in Spain
Worst thing about the race: Still Monaco, looks great, but F1 has outgrown the circuit.
And the race in a sentence: Not too bad for Monaco, still needed rain to spice up the action.

Best driver: Perez. Who else? Only not on pole because of the Ferrari's. Excellent resistance against a lot of pressure.
Worst driver: Race-directors. And the fans here stating that they hate Monaco because 'there is no overtaking'. Shame on both of you, types: you are not thinking like a racing-driver.
Best team: Red Bull.
Worst team: Ferrari. They have the best car but will lose the championship.
Best overtake: Gasley on...
Worst overtake: Hamilton on Ocon. Yes, Ocon squeezed you, unnecessarily. Lewis. But why put your car, man, in a place where they can turn on you so easily?
Best moment: Perez crossing the line. And seeing Schumi junior getting out of the car absolutely fine.
Worst moment: Seeing the Haas in two pieces. Memories of Grosjean, Cevert, Revson... uuuugh.
Best thing about the race: Yuki asking if Schumi is alright.
Worst thing about the race: Bad and cowardice race-directing.
And the race in a sentence: No overtaking can be exiting too.

Worst driver - Alonso, I get his rivalry with Hamilton, but no need to drag most of the field in it.
Best team - Red Bull - masterclass
Worst team - Ferrari. Italian reversed masterclass.
Best overtake - Zhou, for entertainment value.
Worst overtake - Zhou, got lucky the other driver was sharp.
Best moment - Seeing Mick Schumacher walk away. He’s becoming a danger for himself and others.
Worst moment - Mick’s crash triggering a red flag. Would be more fun seeing them battle it out without the interruption
Best thing about the race - It being over. I enjoy the scenery, but it’s hardly a race when the track is dry.
Worst thing about the race - Ferrari protesting. Get your s*** together first.

Best driver: Perez and Sainz
Worst driver: Latifi by far. There are people with multiple DUIs that I'd put behind the wheel instead of him. He is destroying the fabric of the F1.
Best team: RBR...they will try a blinder every once in a while. I can respect that.
Worst team: Williams for continuing to field Latifi. He's a virus on driver standards. Enough already.
Best overtake: Gasley...
Worst overtake: HAM on OCO. OCO had no business turning in at the point he did.
Best moment: Perez falling back onto the HALO when he got out of the car
Worst moment: Latifi getting into the car to contest the race. The TV Director.
Best thing about the race: An unexpected winner.
Worst thing about the race: Latifi. By far, Latifi.
And the race in a sentence: Why is Latifi still in F1. He's done enough.

What is the point of even having Wet Tyres when Race Control pull a Red when there is any rain to justify using them. May as well do away with them and sitting it out Nascar style. Also the best thing about Monaco is the chaos at the start. We were stiffed out of that twice.

Gave it a 2/10 as well for about the same reasons. Maybe we need another 1961, it is my understanding that in that year the F2 cars basically became F1 cars and the existing F1 cars were ditched

Race Control needs to be banned from motorsport.
Making heavy slow cars 'for the show', getting Netflix 'for the show', introducing ugly sprint races 'for the show' and then deny the most epic wet dream of any F1 fan - rain start in Monaco - is just pathetic.
Race was fine 6/10 (was rooting for Checo all weekend) but still have a feeling we were robbed of what could've been a classic. And you don't get too much of a classic these days.

Could you explain why making lighter cars would improve racing. It would reduce passing opportunities by reducing braking zones if anything. Heavier touring cars would produce much more passing around such a circuit for the same reasons.

Because lighter and smaller cars are more nimble and can make the pass exiting the corner, by getting a better exit and maneuvering alongside before the braking point then taking away the line. With the state of brake technology we need to move away from the fallacy of out-braking for passes by making the brake distance longer with weight. Out-braking and passing is set up the previous corner(s).Could you explain why making lighter cars would improve racing. It would reduce passing opportunities by reducing braking zones if anything. Heavier touring cars would produce much more passing around such a circuit for the same reasons.
Alonso going 3+ seconds a lap slower in smaller lighter cars would have been much tougher for him to block out of corners and park in the middle. With the heavy boats it was never going to happen.
I will just add, that purely from a visual enjoyment perspective, these cars looked horrendous in qualifying in the dry. Usually the best part of the Monaco is Q3, but the cars just lumbered around. It was truly a sad sight. Those few seconds lost in corners surprisingly really come across on screen.

Even with the rain, there's almost zero passing in Monaco. We were just watching a parade, as we do all the time in Monaco. The modern F1 cars have grown, and i think it should be moved on from Monaco. I voted a 3.

- No overtaking whatsoever: a driver can decide that he drives 3 sec off the pace and could still keep the cars behind. DRS zone is for fun really.
- Cars can be screwed massively by lapped cars.
Curiosity does not allow me to miss any Monaco GP but it is the one that I dislike the most in the calendar

I have rated the 2022 Monaco GP a 4. This has nothing to do with who was the best driver/team or whatever. It is simply that after following following this race as well as more than 50 of its predecessors that it stacks up as a less than an average display of GP racing.
It certainly was not helped by any overtaking moves that affected championship points.
At nearly the same time every year I also follow the Indy 500. Monaco, this year, fell far short of Indy as a racing spectacle. Indy had 38 race leader changes among 9 different drivers.
Monaco had every chance to be a good racing showcase as occurs with many GP races when rain, tire change schedules and choice is a big factor. And then we have the 2 hour rule, which could have been avoided if better starting processes were chosen, destroying the last racing laps at just the time that those who chose hard tires earlier found themselves completely in the race for first to the flag.

Best moment: When it finally started

Best driver: Leclerc (did nothing wrong), would like to say Perez but crashing in qualification could have had severe consequences (see Leclerc last year)
Worst driver: Ricciardo was at some point 4 seconds off the pace from Norris without anyone in front. (Mentioning Latifi every race becomes stale)
Best team: Red Bull , made the right calls
Worst team: Ferrari, although i think both Williams made their calls look much worse. Made the correct choice with the hard tyres which on every other track would have given them the win.
Best overtake: Gasly on Zhou
Worst overtake: Hamilton on Ocon
Best moment: Mick being OK
Worst moment: The race not starting, Micks crash
Best thing about the race: Rain
Worst thing about the race: The race director not starting the race and overall quite poor performance. Red flagging for stuff which should be a sector yellow flag for 5 seconds (tsunoda)
And the race in a sentence: Next year give the same go kart to everyone and let them race. Racing with these cars is ridiculous, see alonso train.

Worst driver: Schumacher, Latifi or maybe Albon for missing an entire lap's worth of blue flags.
Best team: Red Bull
Worst team: Strategy wise, Ferrari. Car wise, Haas? Both cars failed, one quite spectacularly.
Best overtake: Gasly on someone
Worst overtake:
Best moment: Gasly's overtakes. Rear half of Mick's car being rolled away by marshals. Zhou nearly losing it when exiting the tunnel.
Worst moment: Mick's car snapping in half.
Best thing about the race: Knowing the tiniest mistake can be race ending.
Worst thing about the race: Alonso being able to back up the pack by 3s a lap.

People say 'Red Bull got the better of Ferrari strategy wise' but looking at all the facts after the race that's actually not true. Both Ferrari's had a healthy lead before their pit stops. It is both Williams drivers holding up the Ferrari's and not respecting blue flags that handed out the win to Red Bull. Leclerc didn't lose enough time in the pits to cost him the race win, Albon blocking him however did lose him the race. Albon: Red Bull driver loaned out to Williams. They did punish Albon for it during the race but that doesn't give Leclerc his win back. Not saying at all he did that on purpose, that's not the kind of guy Albon is, but it does leave a sour taste for Ferrari. And add to that both Red Bull's not properly investigated when they crossed the yellow line, Ferrari has a lot of reasons to be unhappy.
It wasn't clever strategy from Red Bull at all that gave them the win and Ferrari was beating them fair & square. It was Williams (Albon & Latifi) holding up the Ferrari's that gave Red Bull the win.
Guanyou Zhou actually deserves praise (not for his lack of pace though) for very sportive behaviour: when he was lapped he made sure he allowed all leading cars to pass him at once so none of the drivers fighting for the win would lose any time. For a rookie driver he assessed that situation very well. It cost him time but he didn't interfere with the result of the race.
