There was a couple of changes in the event notes this morning corcerning the pit entry/exit lines:

12.3 The dashed white line at the pit entry defines the track edge. For safety reasons, no tyre of any car continuing on the track, may cross that line.

12.5 Relevant white line at pit exit as per Appendix L, Chapter 4, Article 5. [picture with an arrow pointing at the white line that defines the edge of the pit exit, not the white line on the other end of the painted area that defines the edge of the track]

The pit stop time loss last year seemed to have a range between 18.5 and 23.3 seconds. The modified pit entry looks pretty much the same, so I don't think it will make any difference.

My guess is they removed that part because it contradicts the sporting regs regarding track limits.

It beggars belief really. It's a rule that's been in place for many years, had never been disputed, and suddenly it's just become a complete mess for no reason at all.

What was the Magny Cours race where loads of drivers got penalties for crossing the line? 2003/04 time? That was funny but also very clear cut and slam dunk offences. If that happened now it would be chaos in terms of mid-race investigations.

Haas has new reds. Might as well start on them and see what happens. Throwaway race at this point.

Well they could have had quali on earlier yesterday to avoid clashing with Le Mans.

It does look like F1 went out of their way to clash with Le mans as much as possible...

Of course that is just looking at session start times and ignoring things like support races and the sun which I am sure is whats actually responsible.

I recognize most of the words, but none of them seem to be in the right order or related to the previous word. :stoned:

I have a feeling Checo is going to get this one. Tyre management and top speed will win out.

Not long now. This timing is brilliant. Just like old times. Wake up, get F1 in, and have the rest of the day to enjoy.

He could but I think LeClerc and Max will outrace him if they get the strategy right.

Probably my favourite anthem of the calendar, though it's sung a bit less agressively this year!

Herbert’s a clear demonstration that the porpoising issue needs to be sorted for driver safety.

I like the way they did the female singers' dresses so when they stood in a particular order the stripes of Azerbaijan flag matched up with the bits of cardboard on either side of them
