I gave it a 3 because the race was more or less resolved by about one-third distance. Quiet for Baku but that'll be good for the teams with a one-week turnaround before Montreal.

Best driver: Max Verstappen, qualified poorly (for him) but won the race with crushing speed.

Worst driver: Stroll, probably? I barely saw him.

Best team: Red Bull, their cars went fast and didn't break down.

Worst team: Ferrari, their cars did break down and I had my doubts that they could've held off Red Bull when healthy.

Best overtake: Hamilton put a cool move on... someone early on.

Worst overtake: Vettel sending it up the escape road while trying to pass... Ocon? Still, recovered nicely.

Best moment: Perez's assertive move on Leclerc into turn 1 at the start.

Worst moment: A significant amount of air leaving the world championship balloon as Leclerc pulled into the pits with a smoking engine.

The race in a sentence: Double Ferrari failure results in Red Bull procession.

Best driver: Gasly

Worst driver: Latifi who finished 98 seconds behind his teammate.

Best team: Red Bull though Ferrari made it awfully easy for them.

Worst team: Ferrari who made it awfully easy for their title rivals.

Best overtake: Tsunoda on Ocon because it wasn’t a DRS overtake and needed some good braking to take it. Ocon didn’t seem to expect having not covered the inside.

Worst overtake: Vettel on Ocon, it was a big error and undeservedly ended up 6th has to be thankful others had bad reliability.

Best moment: I’m struggling to think of one which suggests this race was quite poor.

Worst moment: FIA calling Tsunoda in for a wing fix, I hate seeing a driver lose a good result so close to the end to things beyond their control. He was pulling away from Vettel regardless of the failure.

And the race in a sentence: I think that’s the first dull Baku race we’ve had, I guess Ferrari took all tension out of the race. 5/10

This race exposed these regulations a bit. Slow corners which don't typically have issues with following but in past years huge slipstream benefit for big overtaking. 2022 regs don't work that way.

Oh and bouncy bouncy.

2/10.

Was setting up to be interesting until the Ferrari DNFs.

Drab race from there on.

It was an 8 until the last Ferraro caved in, then a 4. So I give it a 6.

5. Mostly forgettable, but there was some racing at least. Back to 90s level of unreliability for frontrunners, which adds some jeopardy.

Best driver: Verstappen
Worst driver: Latifi
Best team: Red Bull
Worst team: Ferrari
Best engine manufacturer: Red Bull
Worst engine manufacturer: Ferrari
Best overtake: Hamilton on Ocon. Yes it was enabled by DNS but he didn't have much of a speed advantage even then.
Worst overtake: Vettel on Ocon where he overshot turn 3
Best moment: The end
Worst moment: Red Bull team orders taking away the small slither of a chance of an interesting race
Best thing about the race: Some strategic variation.
Worst thing about the race: Overall dullness.

And the race in a sentence: Ferrari have gift wrapped the championships and written Red Bull's address on the label, but they haven't posted them yet.

For a biased Verstappen fan I say a solid 8 because the last 10 laps still make me nervous .

For an unbiased average spectator a 3 or a 4 bore fest would be fair .

3, which is probably generous. Another lost opportunity for Ferrari to make the race and championship interesting. Best moment Vettel's quick spin recovery

Best driver - Verstappen, turned any pace deficit to Perez round in the race, was crushing really.
Worst driver - Latifi was adrift from the start with his stop-go so I’ll give it to Mick Schumacher again sadly.
Best team - Red Bull, much as it’s always annoying to see Horner being smug.
Worst team - Ferrari, lots of speed, reliability of a ten year old Fiat Punto.
Best overtake - I just saw the same DRS one repeated, and even then not too much.
Worst overtake - Vettel on Ocon, not good enough for a four time WDC with 200+ races on his CV.
Best moment - the VSC briefly letting a bit of uncertainty creep in
Worst moment - Leclerc’s technical failure removing it again not long after.
Best thing about the race - Mick Schumacher’s car stayed in one piece.
Worst thing about the race - the race.

I’ll charitably give it a 0.

If it's a dull race that closes the championship, then OK. But if it's a dull race that kills the championship...  :(

Garbage track, dire lack of competition - I fast forwarded through most and watched the lowlights in a total of 1 minute. F1 needs to get its **** together, the show sucks mega butt.

Best driver: Verstappen. Would have won the race even without Leclercs misfortune.
Worst driver: Don't know. Nobody dared to take risks except for Vettel. Who got chided for it. I think if you balance reputation and achievement: Mick Schumacher. If he tries his best not to crash, he is just dead slow.
Best team: Red Bull.
Worst team: Williams. They really miss someone there to manage stuff like... not being on the start after the signal? Giving their driver the right info?
Best engine manufacturer: Red Bull.
Worst engine manufacturer: Ferrari.
Best overtake: Hamilton on Ocon.
Worst overtake: To small a sample.
Best moment: Perez grabbing the start.
Worst moment: Sainz having a mechanical DNF. If it rains, it rains...
Best thing about the race: It started and it ended.
Worst thing about the race: No crazy stuff. Shame.

And the race in a sentence: When F1 drivers are scared by a track and behave themselves too good, it becomes rather boring.

Best team: Red Bull
Worst team: Ferrari
Best engine manufacturer: Honda
Worst engine manufacturer: Ferrari
Best overtake: Perez on Leclerc lap 1? Nothing stood out.
Worst overtake: I'm not sure what Vettel was doing against Tsunoda but he'll rue that one.
Best moment: RB 1-2
Worst moment: VSCs
Best thing about the race:  The early am start.
Worst thing about the race:  Ferrari not doing their part to keep it interesting.

And the race in a sentence:  The one where no one crashed.

Best driver: Verstappen, just clinical
Worst driver: Latifi or Schumacher
Best team: RBR, again just clinical
Worst team: McLaren, just because of the DR/LN shenanigans.
Best engine manufacturer: RBR
Worst engine manufacturer: Ferrari
Best overtake: Thought Hamilton's move on Ocon was pretty good.
Worst overtake: Vettel, had the move done and still cooked it.
Best moment: Perez into turn one. At the time I thought it was going to make it interesting.
Worst moment: When Leclerc's engine blew. Made the front a foregone conclusion.
Best thing about the race: Enjoyed watching Ocon's defense throughout the race.
Worst thing about the race: That it was done and dusted once Leclerc retired.

Worst driver-Schumacher as he couldn't pass the guy most consider the worst driver on the grid.

*He got in front of Latifi due to the 10 sec penalty the Williams had to serve. Couldn't pass him on the track.

Pretty boring race.

My kid had 3 games a state over. Got home around 4PM and watched the race outside on my front deck. It was an absolutely beautiful day outside! Stream was running into my front ponds, dog was laying by my side - cat in the seat next too me. My daughter went out with friends and a buiddy came over to watch the race. We popped a gummy and had a few bears and really enjoyed the race (gummy may have helped). Absolutely laughed my ass off at Ferrari. I am a tifosi for years so this crap does not surprise me at all.

It was such an immensely boring race and that at a track that normally always is spectacular.

F1 is so boring: few cars and of those 20 cars only 2 teams can win. All the rest drives in GP2 category. That's not fun. Red Bull was a couple of streets ahead at the finish: not fun. I can recommend all of you to watch the European karting championship OK / OK Jr. instead: that's real racing. Close racing and much more fair.

IndyCar had a pretty nice race too Sunday at Road America: that's how F1 ought to be: lots of drivers who can win on paper and just good old school racing.

Best driver: Max Verstappen seemed in complete control from the moment he took the lead of the race. Honourable mention to Gasly for his strongest race since last season.
Worst driver: Lance Stroll had a very poor weekend I thought, nowhere near Vettel and only ahead of consistent strugglers Schumacher and Latifi.
Best team: Red Bull again - third one-two finish in two races and never seriously threatened after the start.
Worst team: Ferrari, just about the worst possible result from this race, although I'm not convinced they would have beaten Red Bull in any case.
Best engine manufacturer: RBPT/Honda - three of the top five finishers, and should have had all four cars comfortably in the points.
Worst engine manufacturer: Ferrari - no points but more importantly four DNFs, two chalked down to power unit failure.
Best overtake: Hamilton on Ocon, I was not sure he would be able to get close enough to pull off a clean move.
Worst overtake: Vettel on Ocon, especially as he was fortunate not to lose out more badly as a result of this error.
Best moment: Norris ignoring team orders and fighting Ricciardo added some interest to the end of the race.
Worst moment: Leclerc retiring from the race, ending any meaningful interest in the battle for the podium places some way before half distance.
Best thing about the race: Mercedes finishing third and fourth - clutching at straws perhaps but in the increasingly unlikely event of them mounting a championship challenge, they made up a lot of ground on Ferrari and minimised the points deficit to Red Bull.
Worst thing about the race: Ferrari DNFs reducing the likelihood of a close championship fight for both the WDC and WCC, six wins out of eight for Red Bull with five going to Verstappen looks ominously strong on both fronts.

And the race in a sentence: A race that seemed to fizzle out before it got going, not close to the excitement seen in previous years at Baku.

I gave this race 4/10, perhaps slightly harsh but there were relatively few memorable moments excluding the Ferrari retirements which made the race less exciting overall and most of the interesting potential battles failed to materialise.

Best driver:  Pierre Gasly

Honourable mention best driver:  Sergio Perez for doing a perfect job in a second driver role and beating Max in qualy twice in a row

Worst driver:  Mick Schumacher Nicholas Latifi

Honourable mention worst driver:  Lance Stroll
Best team:  Red Bull
Worst team:  Ferrari

Best overtake: Tsunoda outbreaking Ocon
Worst overtake:  Vettel on Ocon
Best moment: none
Worst moment:  Leclerc, Magnussen & Zhou suffering retirement. Tsunoda's bad luck with his rear wing.
Best thing about the race: nothing positive about such a boring race with Red Bull in a different league.
Worst thing about the race:  what can be worse as a race so boring already? And this at such a great track. Watch European champ. karting, IndyCar or F2 instead. Or maybe the worst thing was that they punished Tsunoda for his rear wing, there was no reason to call him in and take away his 6th place.

And the race in a sentence:  I'd rather forget this race.

Best driver: Verstappen
Worst driver: didn't catch much of the backmarkers, perhaps Stroll, Schumacher or Latifi?
Best team: Red Bull
Worst team: Williams
Best engine manufacturer: Red Bull
Worst engine manufacturer: Ferrari
Best overtake: there were none, only DRS passes
Worst overtake: n/a
Best moment: Vettel recovering from his spin
Worst moment: Tsunoda's rear wing, Vettel's spin
Best thing about the race: no safety cars or red flags!
Worst thing about the race: pit stops and DRS

And the race in a sentence: Ferrari, Mamma mia!
