And when is that presumption gone? It was pretty clear what he said was pretty bad and racist. Like really I don't know the threshold when to call someone a racist. When do you call someone a racist?
I would call someone a racist when they demonstrate a patter of behavior, that its not just a misstep.
Same, as for example, I haven't labeled Hamilton a liar for the rest of his life, even though he "misled" the stewards after the 2009 Australian Grand Prix to get Trulli's 3rd place. He was 24 at the time so he knew what he was doing. A racing driver, who's seen the world and a world champion at that, one would expect he would know what the standards were. But he learned a lesson and we haven't seen a repeat. Also, I have no reason to think Hamilton went around "misleading" stewards at race meetings before that.
